Summertime Fun Time?

I have (now distant) memories of quiet work summers on campus, filled with significant time for reflection and relative calm.

Summers today are abuzz with a different pace of life: students continuing their studies, meetings, planning, looking back, looking ahead, connecting, and the list goes on. While I still claim a few important moments of reflection and time away, I welcome the summers of today.

In the excitement of campus greeting new students and families, in the energizing conversations with faculty, staff, and peers across the country, in the digging deep in where we are and looking at what’s possible, we renew our daily commitment to help students succeed and flourish. That’s why we are here—and as summer reminds me often—it’s a purpose we all share. Happy summer, my friends!
