Sarah Park entered the Miss UGA Competition intending to gain new experience and win the competition’s scholarship. Park not only walked away with the Miss UGA 2023 crown, but she also discovered newfound potential to use her voice for good.

Student Veterans Resource Center caps successful year with Honor Cord Ceremony 

On May 2, the Student Veterans Resource Center hosted its Honor Cord and Scholarship Ceremony recognizing 74 student veterans graduating UGA in 2023 and more than 100 students receiving scholarships and grants. The Honor Cord recognizes the contributions and accomplishments of UGA’s student veterans.

Eniola Olubunmi is named 2023 recipient of the Saeeda Peermahomed Award 

Eniola Olubunmi, a third-year Accounting Major with a Certificate in Legal Studies in the Terry College of Business is this year’s Saeeda Peermahomed Award recipient. The award is given annually by International Student Life to recognize outstanding international students.

In 1977, Victor K. Wilson first stepped onto the University of Georgia campus as a high school senior with the Georgia Scholastic Press Association for his high school newspaper. It was April of his senior year, and he had a full-ride scholarship to Morris-Brown in Atlanta.

Student Veteran and ROTC Cadet receives national recognition

One would not immediately suspect that Caitlyn Davis actively serves in the Army Reserves and UGA ROTC program. She admits that she may blend in as a typical college student. During the week, the nutritional sciences major attends classes, but one weekend per month she serves as a medic.
