Campus Health and Safety Message for Students and Parents – Fall 2022

We are excited to welcome you back to Athens and campus. Seeing everyone in person again reminds us that our community is large, vibrant, and wonderfully diverse. With more than 40,000 students at UGA this fall, campus is busy and the positive energy is palpable.

UGA welcomes largest freshman class

The University of Georgia's class of 2026 is its biggest and one of its most academically qualified yet. More than 6,200 new first-year students start classes at UGA Aug. 17, selected from a record number of nearly 40,000 applications.

International Coffee Hour – 50th Anniversary Celebration

Join attendees to celebrate the 50th anniversary of International Coffee Hour at the University of Georgia. Students, staff, international and cultural-based student organizations, and community members will meet up for coffee, food, and conversation to celebrate this milestone event for the university.

The University of Georgia held a dedication ceremony Aug. 4 to celebrate the naming of Black-Diallo-Miller Hall, UGA’s newest residence hall.

Annual Student Leadership Conference for 2022

UGA’s annual student leadership conference will take place on September 17th, 9:30 AM to 4:00 PM at the Tate Student Center. UGA’s best and brightest students gather for a FREE conference on leadership, collaboration, inclusion, community engagement, well-being, and more!

UGA Student Veteran Receives National Leadership Recognition

Caleb Ray, a Financial Planning 4th-year UGA student veteran and last year’s Student Veteran Association (SVA) President was recognized this week in G.I. Jobs magazine as a recipient of the Student Veteran Leadership Award. Ray was one of thirty-three nationally recognized students for his outstanding leadership and commitment to serving the UGA veteran community.
