Impact ticket wins 2025 UGA Student Government Association election 

University of Georgia students elected the Impact ticket to the executive branch of the Student Government Association for the 2025-2026 school year. The Impact ticket includes President-elect John Neely, Vice President-elect Jhaycee Barnes, and Treasurer-elect Talha Ali.

UGA hosts Spring 2025 Engagement Fair

The University of Georgia Spring 2025 Engagement Fair will happen on Tuesday, Jan. 28, and Thursday, Jan. 30, from 7-10 p.m. at the Tate Student Center. Over 300 student organizations will be at the fair, with the intent that students will be able to find opportunities to get involved around the university.

UGA announces Creswell Hall renovation

The University of Georgia has announced plans for a comprehensive $115.7 million renovation of Creswell Hall, one of the campus’s landmark residence halls. The project, scheduled for 2027-2028, will modernize the 1963 building and enhance the living experience for students.

Jon Segars named Student Veterans of America (SVA) Chapter Advisor of the Year

This award acknowledges the exceptional mentorship, service, and advocacy by a campus staff or faculty member to an SVA chapter as an advisor.

UGA SGA leads OneCard update to improve awareness of mental health resources

The University of Georgia Student Government Association (SGA) led an initiative to update the UGA OneCard to increase awareness of student well-being resources. The inspiration came from SGA Senator, Shriya Garg, a Foundation Fellow and Stamps Scholar, who shared the idea at a White House roundtable event.
