Welcome UGA events to kickoff the Spring 2024 semester

Welcome UGA continues its campus-wide celebration into the new year for incoming and returning students. Various departments and organizations hosted not just events, but opportunities to connect with students as they begin a new semester – fostering a sense of belonging for them on campus.

Spring Kickoff | Welcome UGA Pizza Party

During their first week back, students reunited with old friends and met new ones in Tate while enjoying a personal box of pizza and a souvenir cup with an upcoming events calendar from Student Transitions.

Cocoa and Cookies with the VP

A sweet and social event as students shared a cup of hot cocoa and a Crumbl cookie while getting to chat with Dr. Michelle Cook, Vice President of Student Affairs.

International Coffee Hour | Nepalese Student Association

Students, faculty, and staff come together every Friday in the Victor K. Wilson Ballroom over coffee and international cuisine to highlight specific organizations on campus and celebrate diversity. The first International Coffee Hour of the semester was hosted by the Nepalese Student Association within International Student Life.

Bulldog Friday Kickoff

A go-to Friday tradition on campus from Student Transitions. The kickoff included Bojangles biscuits, stuff-your-own bulldogs, coffee mugs, a game day button making station, and more.

Welcome Home | Presented by M.I.P.

Multicultural Services and Programs, International Student Life, and Pride Center hosted Welcome Home including Chick-fil-a, speed friending, and a Belonging station where students shared why they belong with MSP, ISL, Pride Center, and/or at UGA. Various organizations within each department also connected with students and presented opportunities for them to get involved.
