For the 10th consecutive year, the University of Georgia has placed in the top 20 among the nation’s best public universities, according to U.S. News & World Report’s 2026 rankings. UGA shares the No. 19 rank with Purdue University.
The Student Affairs Student Advisory Board kicked off its 2025 – 2026 academic year with a visit from Provost Benjamin C. Ayers. Students learned about Provost Ayers’ background and interests, and he led a discussion about student experiences with artificial intelligence and the university’s Experiential Learning requirement.
New fraternity members at the University of Georgia filled the Tate Student Center Auditorium on Monday, Sept. 15, for a drug awareness program presented by the Jack O’Kelley Foundation, an organization dedicated to educating students about the dangers of illegal drugs.

Every year, the University of Georgia hosts an engagement fair for students to browse various clubs and organizations. UGA kicked off the first of two nights of its Fall 2025 Engagement Fair on Tuesday Aug. 26. The event runs from 7 to 10 p.m. at the Tate Student Center and continues Thursday, Aug. 28.
