UGA Miracle receives the 2025 Excellence in Event Experience Award

On July 17, Children’s Miracle Network awarded UGA Miracle with the Excellence in Event Experience Award at their annual leadership conference held in Kansas City, MO. This award recognized UGA Greek Life student leaders’ work to shift their annual fundraising Dance Marathon event model from 24+ hours to 13.1 hours. This included dynamic programming that kept participants engaged while reimagining in-event fundraising pushes to become more interactive, energizing, and effective.

These changes helped lead to an impressive 41% increase in in-event fundraising. Overall, the shortened event still contributed to an increase in their fundraising total.

Associate Director of Greek Life, Kara Rex said, “We are so proud of the executive council for making data-informed decisions to continue to enhance their program and fundraising efforts.”
