The Installation of Alpha Xi Delta

The Gamma Upsilon Chapter of Alpha Xi Delta recently hosted their Installation ceremony on Sunday, February 18, 2024. This chapter of Alpha Xi Delta was originally installed in 1960 at the University of Georgia. Alpha Xi Delta is one of the twenty sororities that comprise the Panhellenic Council.

The Re-installation of Alpha Xi Delta marks their commitment to their founding values, Sisterhood, leadership, knowledge and service to our communities. They are a progressive organization dedicated to the personal growth of women. Alpha Xi Delta is looking forward to a new legacy at UGA comprised of women who empower each other.

Alpha Xi Delta was originally founded in 1893 at Lombard College in Galesburg, Illinois. The organization has upwards of 162,000 initiated members.

Delaney Easley, the Chapter President of the Gamma Upsilon Chapter of Alpha Xi Delta, expressed her gratitude for her Sisters.

“Making memories with them has been the best part of college,” said Easley. “I can’t wait to make so many more throughout the next few years.”

Carol Spring, Alpha Xi Delta alumna, and former Pledge Trainer, communicated her joy that Alpha Xi Delta is returning to campus.

“When I received the first notice last fall that Alpha Xi Delta would be coming back to UGA, I jumped for joy!” said Spring. “Overall, the importance of supporting each other as young women preparing for our futures was the essence of our life as Alpha Xi Deltas. I’m hoping by meeting these new 200+ new sisters this weekend, I can inspire them to realize their potential as AXiD’s for life!”
