The Persian Student Union hosted a celebration for Nowruz, or Persian New Year on March 28th. This celebration was one of the semester's Culture Nights, a series of events hosted by International Student Life.

UGA honored for its commitment to inclusive excellence

The University of Georgia has been named a recipient of the Higher Education Excellence in Diversity Award for the 11th consecutive year. Presented by INSIGHT Into Diversity magazine, the HEED Award reflects the university’s deliberate efforts to create a welcoming and inclusive learning environment.

Hundreds of students serve the Athens community

On Sept. 21, more than 500 University of Georgia students participated in Dawg Day of Service, UGA’s largest annual day of student-led community service. Celebrating its 11th year, the event set records for the number of participating students and service sites, highlighting students’ growing commitment to community involvement.

Student Spotlight: Meet Rashawn Mckelvey-Fludd 

Now rounding the corner on his fourth year, his collegiate experience could be summed up in the word “community.” This is evident through his involvement in various organizations; involvement including serving as President of the Zeta Nu Chapter of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc.
