UGA Union to host annual Spring Fling

The University of Georgia Union announced that its annual Spring Fling event is Thursday, April 3, from 6-9 p.m. at Myers Quad. This event celebrates the arrival of spring, with a variety of activities designed to bring the campus community together.

On Tuesday, March 25, the University of Georgia Engagement, Leadership, and Service department hosted the 24th annual H. Gordon & Francis S. Davis Student Engagement Awards at the Tate Grand Hall.

Students serve local communities with IMPACT Service Breaks

From March 2-7, University of Georgia students spent their Spring Break serving with local non-profit partners in Charleston, Asheboro, Charlotte, and Savannah. IMPACT Service Breaks, administered by Engagement, Leadership, and Service, offers students an immersive experience living and volunteering during academic breaks.

Sometime last year, Rissa Rogus and Elizabeth Kim found a cardboard box in the WUOG music room. There wasn’t anything particularly odd about that. WUOG—the University of Georgia’s student-run radio station—collects boxes like old paper clips.

Impact ticket wins 2025 UGA Student Government Association election 

University of Georgia students elected the Impact ticket to the executive branch of the Student Government Association for the 2025-2026 school year. The Impact ticket includes President-elect John Neely, Vice President-elect Jhaycee Barnes, and Treasurer-elect Talha Ali.

UGA student Olivia Kosobud is the driving force behind a transformative initiative, empowering her peers with the professional attire they need to seize career opportunities, eliminating a possible financial barrier.

UGA SGA leads OneCard update to improve awareness of mental health resources

The University of Georgia Student Government Association (SGA) led an initiative to update the UGA OneCard to increase awareness of student well-being resources. The inspiration came from SGA Senator, Shriya Garg, a Foundation Fellow and Stamps Scholar, who shared the idea at a White House roundtable event.

Hundreds of students serve the Athens community

On Sept. 21, more than 500 University of Georgia students participated in Dawg Day of Service, UGA’s largest annual day of student-led community service. Celebrating its 11th year, the event set records for the number of participating students and service sites, highlighting students’ growing commitment to community involvement.
