The Installation of Alpha Xi Delta  

The Gamma Upsilon Chapter of Alpha Xi Delta recently hosted their Installation ceremony on Sunday, February 18, 2024. This chapter of Alpha Xi Delta was originally installed in 1960 at the University of Georgia. Alpha Xi Delta is one of the twenty sororities that comprise the Panhellenic Council.

From March 15 to April 15, the University of Georgia will celebrate Asian Pacific Islander Desi American (APIDA) Heritage Month.

UGA student leads installation of AED devices in fraternity and sorority houses

Boonstra Elliott, UGA student and member of Chi Phi fraternity, is leading an initiative to install Automated External Defibrillator (AED) devices in 19 Panhellenic sorority houses and 23 Interfraternity Council (IFC) fraternity houses.

Fall 2023 Veterans Scholarship Ceremony

On November 7, the Student Veterans Resource Center (SVRC) welcomed more than 200 students and guests to the Tate Student Grand Hall for the SVRC’s annual Veterans Week Scholarship Ceremony. The SVRC and its supporters awarded more than 165 scholarships with a combined value of $155,310 to UGA student veterans.

Registration open for the Rite of Sankofa spring graduation ceremony

The Rite of Sankofa is an African rite-of-passage graduation ceremony that takes place every May. It is a ceremony to showcase and highlight the accomplishments of African American, and African descendant, students.

Department reduces financial barriers for student engagement 

UGA Student Affairs’ Department of Engagement, Leadership, and Service (ELS) announces it has awarded scholarships totaling over $75,000 for the 2023-2024 academic year. With these scholarships, ELS hopes to reduce financial barriers that hinder student success and engagement.
