One would not immediately suspect that Caitlyn Davis actively serves in the Army Reserves and UGA ROTC program. She admits that she may blend in as a typical college student. During the week, the nutritional sciences major attends classes, but one weekend per month she serves as a medic.

The following University of Georgia students have been named 2022 recipients of the Dawn D. Bennett-Alexander Building Bridges Scholarship. The scholarship is awarded annually to students who exhibit excellence in their commitment to diversity and inclusion efforts on campus.

SVRC Director Jon Segars tapped as chair of the National Council on Military Transition to Education (CMTE)

Dr. Jon Segars, University of Georgia's Director of the Student Veterans Resource Center (SVRC) was named chair-elect for the National Council on Military Transition to Education (CMTE) in June 2022 to serve on its executive committee for this academic year. At the upcoming CMTE conference this March, Segars will assume the chairmanship to serve a one-year term.

Tanner Nelson, a first-year student from Columbus, has been named the 2022 Bradley-Turner Leadership Scholar at the University of Georgia. Michelle Garfield Cook, the University of Georgia's senior vice provost, has been named the next vice president for student affairs, President Jere W. Morehead announced Monday.
