Best adventure
My best adventure so far has definitely been the mobile clinic trip to Lima, Peru, with Medlife. It was so amazing to get to experience the country’s culture while also supplying the citizens with much needed medical assistance.

How did you choose your major?
I knew I wanted to choose a major that gave me a lot of options when it comes to career choice, so my major works perfectly. It gives me the option of pursuing a career in public health, research, medicine, or even becoming a professor one day! I love the variety of topics covered under my major and I get to learn about making the environment safe and clean.

What was the biggest surprise about coming to UGA?
The biggest surprise for me was how easy it is to meet people in super random places. I’ve made countless friends in the laundry room of my dorm, dining halls, and of course classes and study spaces. There’s always someone new to meet wherever you are!

What is your favorite UGA tradition?
My favorite tradition by far at UGA is the fourth quarter tradition at the football games. Everyone turns on their phone flashlights and we all hold up four fingers as the Redcoat Band plays a song, so it truly makes you feel at home!

What was the best advice given to you by your parents and/or supporters during your first year?
It’s very easy to get caught up in studying and school work in college, but the best advice I got from my parents is to not take everything so seriously. You only have a few years at UGA, so work hard and earn an education, but don’t forget to enjoy it at the same time!

Final words of wisdom for new dawgs?
New Dawgs, you have some of the most amazing experiences, friendships, and memories in your future here at UGA. Work hard, have fun, and GO DAWGS!
