The University of Georgia kicked off International Education Month today with its annual Parade of Flags. UGA students and staff walked from the Arch to Tate Plaza carrying national flags to represent their cultural backgrounds.
Animesh Paul, a third-year Ph.D student in Engineering Education and Transformative Practices in the College of Engineering is this year’s Saeeda Peermahomed Award recipient.
The Persian Student Union hosted a celebration for Nowruz, or Persian New Year on March 28th. This celebration was one of the semester’s Culture Nights, a series of events hosted by Global Student Engagement.

Fostering community engagement, it brought together students, faculty, and esteemed guests from the university and local community, including the mayor of Athens-Clarke County, Kelly Girtz.
