Chris King and Dan Triplett have been recognized as among the nation’s top student veterans for their excellence as leaders in their communities. G.I. Jobs Magazine named King and Triplett in their 2024 Student Veteran Leadership Awards.
The African Graduate Students Forum (AGSF) at the University of Georgia hosted a Taste of West Africa event on September 28. Joshua Welch, University of Georgia’s Greek Life Director has been elected to serve as the Association of Fraternity and Sorority Advisors (AFA) President for the 2025-2026 term. The upcoming Annual Meeting for AFA takes place in Indianapolis in December, where Welch will step into this role through 2026.
On October 9th, 2024, Alpha Phi hosted its annual “Mac & Phi’s” meal-on-the-lawn event, drawing over 800 attendees and raising more than $11,000 for the Alpha Phi Foundation.
On Oct. 6, eight students from the University of Georgia’s Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity traveled to the Augusta area to help with the storm recovery. They trimmed limbs, cleared yards and provided comfort and support.
