Resident Assistants Learn New Skills to Improve the Student Living Experience

Resident Assistants (RAs) play an essential role in shaping the on-campus experience at UGA. Whether they’re helping with roommate conflicts, planning engaging events, or offering support during challenging times, RAs work every day to build strong, connected communities. But just like the students they serve, RAs also need opportunities to learn and grow. That’s why several of them recently attended the Georgia Resident Assistant Saturday Seminar (GRASS), a statewide event bringing together 350 RAs and advisors from 17 institutions to enhance their leadership skills and bring fresh ideas back to the residents they serve.
