Student Advisory Board welcomes Provost Ayers
The Student Affairs Student Advisory Board kicked off its 2025 – 2026 academic year with a visit from Provost Benjamin C. Ayers. Students learned about Provost Ayers’ background and interests, and he led a discussion about student experiences with artificial intelligence and the university’s Experiential Learning requirement.
The Student Affairs Student Advisory Board is convened by Dean of Students Eric Atkinson, and meets monthly to learn about university initiatives and provide feedback directly to the administrators overseeing those initiatives. Each meeting features a key university administrator, who is invited to share a little bit about themselves prior to presenting the latest updates on programs and services from their respective campus area. Students may then provide direct feedback, which provides valuable insight for enhancing the UGA student experience. Each meeting concludes with time for networking among the students and administrators present.
The board is comprised of 26 students representing a wide array of co-curricular learning experiences, including student council chairs, student government presidents, and leaders of student organizations and ambassador groups.
