Biographical Info

Shannon joined Accessibility and Testing in March 2024. He is trained in using C-Print, which is a speech-to-text system developed at Rochester Institute of Technology’s National Technical Institute for the Deaf. Shannon captions videos used in UGA courses and also does live class transcription. He is a “Triple Dawg” with three degrees from the Mary Frances Early College of Education at the University of Georgia. Prior to working at UGA, he worked for 14 years as an educator in the Clarke County School District.
