Biographical Info

Melody Cuevas is a licensed Master of Social Work who joined the CAPS team in April 2024 as an access clinician. Melody obtained her Master of Social Work degree at the University of Georgia and her Bachelor of Social Work degree from Our Lady of the Lake University in San Antonio, TX. Prior to employment at CAPS, Melody worked in community mental health, treating a diverse population of individuals with a variety of mental health conditions in individual, group, inpatient, and outpatient settings. While living in San Antonio, Melody worked for a non-profit organization in the local school system supporting at-risk students and their families to address barriers to academic achievement. Melody’s experience serving marginalized communities has inspired a passion to address barriers to mental health services and a commitment to improve the accessibility of mental health treatment.
