The University of Georgia will welcome its newest alumni on May 9 and 10 as 6,627 undergraduates and 1,691 graduate students—a total of 8,318—have met requirements to participate in the university’s spring Commencement ceremonies.
The Gamma Upsilon Chapter of Alpha Xi Delta recently hosted their Installation ceremony on Sunday, February 18, 2024. This chapter of Alpha Xi Delta was originally installed in 1960 at the University of Georgia. Alpha Xi Delta is one of the twenty sororities that comprise the Panhellenic Council.

Victor K. Wilson, who serves as vice president for student affairs at the University of Georgia, has announced his plans to retire on Sept. 30.
Emelynn Arroyave was dead set on getting out of Georgia after high school graduation. She grew up in Dacula, and was hoping to go someplace different than her home state. “I wanted to go to New York or maybe Boston,” she said. “I had this idea that I could go somewhere new and be a new person.”

The Asian American Student Association at UGA was named “Organization of the Year” during the 21st annual H. Gordon and Francis S. Davis Student Organization Achievement and Recognition Awards, given out April 12 at the Tate Student Center. The SOAR Awards celebrate the accomplishments of student organizations at the University of Georgia.
