Join us for a celebration of our wonderful Student Affairs Staff! We will be featuring sessions and activities throughout the day that highlight the five dimensions of Well-Being:
Purpose | Community | Social | Physical | Financial
Rooms are set up for games and activities for people to pop into as they are available.
Parking in the Tate Deck will be free for attendees from 8:30am – 3:30pm!
9am – 10am: Breakfast and mingling (Tate Reception Hall)
9:30am – 11am: 2024 USG Well-Being Rewards Program Highlights (Room 137)
9:30am – 10:30am: Deskercise (Room 142)
10am – 11am: Ken Chrzanowski discussing Financial Fitness (Room 138)
10:30am – 11am: Communication for Collaboration (Room 139) – Take a break, have some fun, and connect with colleagues through interactive communication activities. Communication is key to building and maintaining relationships. This interactive workshop will use communication activities to boost psychological well-being. Through being present, active listening, and adaptability explore how you can respond more effectively to complex problems and help students do the same.
11am – 12pm: Goal Setting/Tiny Habits (Room 140)
11am – 12pm: Let’s Get Moving Dawg (Room 142) – An informative session to help guide on important mobility/stretching and workplace ergonomics by UHC Physical Therapy
12pm – 1pm: Lunch (Tate Reception Hall)
1pm – 1:30ish: After Lunch Walk (Meet by check-in desk)
1pm: Bullet Journaling with Drew (Room 140)
1pm – 3pm: Retirement 101 (Room 137)
1:30pm – 2pm: Communication for Collaboration (Room 139) – Take a break, have some fun, and connect with colleagues through interactive communication activities. 2pm – 3pm: Jump Start to Jogging (Room 142) – An informative session to help staff start jogging/running with success
2pm – 3pm: Tasty Teachings: Anthony Chiu, UHC Nutrition Education Coordinator (Room 138) – will teach you how to
build a healthy, balanced meal and meal planning strategies to elevate your
meals. We will discuss various grocery shopping tips to help you stock your
desk pantry. There will also be a brief cooking demonstration: blueberry lemon
smoothie, energy bites, and hummus (recipes may contain: milk, wheat,
peanuts, sesame). Samples will be provided but are first come, first
serve.
We will be collecting donations for the Food Pantry in Tate, including the following items:
Bread, Tortillas, Spices and Seasonings, Oils (olive, vegetable, etc.), Popcorn, Non-Perishable Microwave Meals, and Other Non-Perishable Foods
Also, collecting the following items for the Health Center:
Individually wrapped mints/cough drops, Trial size packs of tissues, Band-Aids, Lip balm, Pads and Tampons
Please bring your donations when you check-in!
