114 Clark Howell HallDr. Will Long is a Physical Therapist at the University Health Center. His areas of interest include the spine, sports medicine, health education, and chronic pain conditions. Will is currently pursing advanced credentialing in Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy (Cert MDT) and utilizes the McKenzie Method throughout his assessments and treatments. Prior to working for student health, Will worked in Minneapolis, MN at a private practice.

Molly Dunn joined the University Health Center in 2018 as the Prevention Educator & Peer Mentor Coordinator. She earned her BA in Religious Studies and Gender Studies from Wake Forest University and her MEd in Higher Education from the Harvard Graduate School of Education. Before coming to UGA, she worked in study abroad. In her current role, Molly is developing a wellness-based peer mentor program for undergraduate students; she also regularly meets with students individually and in groups to facilitate dialogues on substance use, stress management, and general wellness.
Dr. Ellen House is a board certified Child, Adolescent, and Adult Psychiatrist at CAPS and is an Assistant Professor at the AU/UGA Medical Partnership. She received her undergraduate and medical degrees at Yale University and then completed her adult and child psychiatry training at Massachusetts General Hospital and McLean Hospitals where she was affiliated with Harvard Medical School. She joins CAPS after being on faculty at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine where she was the Department of Psychiatry's Master Clinical Teacher.
Dr. Erin Higgenbotham joined the CAPS staff in 2018. She holds a BS in Psychology from Wofford College and an MA in Counseling from Ball State University. She earned her PhD in Counseling Psychology at West Virginia University. Dr. Higgenbotham completed her pre-doctoral internship at West Virginia University’s Carruth Center for Psychological and Psychiatric Services and a clinical fellowship at Ohio State University’s Counseling and Consultation Service. Her areas of interest include developmental/identity concerns, social justice, adjustment and stress management, interpersonal/relationship concerns, mindfulness, working with students who identify as LGBTQ, family-of-origin concerns, outreach, and training/supervision.
Camilla Herndon joined the University Health Center in 2018 as the Sexual Health Coordinator. She earned both her BS in Health Promotion and Master of Public Health degree from the University of Georgia. Prior to coming to the Health Center, Camilla worked for a nonprofit facilitating alcohol and substance abuse prevention programs for young adults. Camilla is passionate about reproductive rights, the intersection of sexuality and disability, and addressing sexual health disparities. Camilla advises the Safer Sex Ambassadors peer educators group, coordinates sexual health programs, and holds consultations with students. She is a Certified Health Education Specialist.
Nidhi is a physical therapist who joined UHC in 2018. Her areas of interest include spine rehab, pelvic girdle rehab, movement based treatments, training for injury prevention, core activation, and soft tissue and joint mobilization. She incorporates postural control strategies, stability and mobility exercises into treatments and integrates the importance of adequate nutrition, sleep, mental health and cardiovascular health into treatments.

Jimmy Lim joined the DRC’s staff in February 2016 as a Student Proctor and was promoted to Accommodated Testing Assistant in August 2018. Jimmy supports students registered with the DRC by providing testing accommodations and proctoring exams. He also works closely with faculty and staff and supervises student workers in the Accommodated Testing Office. Jimmy recently graduated from the University of Georgia, receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree in English while also minoring in Film Studies.
Liana Natochy is the alcohol and other drugs education coordinator. She received her BA in Criminology and Law at the University of Florida and a Master of College Student Personnel degree from Bowling Green State University. Liana has been working in health and wellness programs for the past two years where she focused on a wide spectrum of health and wellness areas as well as sexual assault prevention and awareness efforts. Liana advises the P.A.D.E peer education group, coordinates and implements programs on topics related to alcohol and other drugs prevention and early intervention, and holds consultations with students.
Staci Belcher is the Nutrition Counseling Coordinator in the Health Promotion Department. She spent her undergraduate years at the University of Florida and came to UGA to complete her dietetic internship and Masters degree. She is a licensed Registered Dietitian Nutritionist in the state of Georgia and works closely with students helping them explore their relationship with food and integrate habits that support their optimal physical and mental health. Staci serves as a mentor for the Be You student group and facilitates educational presentations across campus to raise the awareness of eating disorders, positive body image, nutrition concepts, and comprehensive wellness for college students.
Jennifer Anthony is a licensed massage therapist with a background in Deep Tissue, Neuromuscular, Orthopedic, Medical Massage, Myofascial Release, Shiatsu, Trigger Point Therapy, and Sports Massage. She graduated from Georgia Massage School in Suwanee, GA, and is a Certified Yoga Teacher and Thai Yoga Massage Practitioner. She previously worked as the Team Massage Therapist with UGA's Gymnastics team. Jennifer's areas of interest include integrating Massage with active movement and Yoga for progressive and sustained functional improvement for her clients.

Dr. Finbar Woitalla joined the University Health Center in January 2018. He previously practiced as a primary care physician at Baumholder Army Garrison, Germany providing care for U.S. Army soldiers and their families from April 2015 – December 2017. Prior to that he worked at United Regional Physicians Group as a Sports Medicine/Non-operative orthopedics provider and as a primary care physician at Kell West Family Practice both in Wichita Falls TX. Dr. Woitalla loves spending time with his wife, two young boys and German Shepherd. He also enjoys playing and listening to all kinds of music and taking in sporting events.

ShaRonda Cooper joined the UHC staff in 2017 and is the Assistant Director of Student Success and Training. She earned a B.A in Psychology, a MEd in Counselor Education, and a PhD in Higher Education from Ohio University. Dr. Cooper is a licensed Professional Counselor and has past experience in working with clients with developmental disabilities, counseling services, and trauma survivors. Her areas of interest include AOD, outreach, mentoring, diversity and inclusion, health coaching, and interpersonal/ relationship concerns. Safe Space Ally
As Senior Coordinator for Leadership & New Student Engagement, Kaitlyn supports the implementation of the Dawg Camp extended orientation program - working closely with its student Leadership Team, training UGA’s extended orientation leaders, overseeing the Dawg Camp Ambassador Team, and co-instructing academic courses tied to Dawg Camp. She will also work to build additional leadership development and new student engagement programming for the CLS portfolio.
Prior to joining us at UGA, Kaitlyn served as the Coordinator for Transition Programs at UNC Wilmington, which included supporting the school’s new student orientation program, building programs to mentor and support transfer students as they entered the university, and spearheading the full implementation of all family programming and initiatives. Kaitlyn is a trained StrenghtsQuest Facilitator and is currently serving as a Transfer Student Services Network Co-Chair for NODA (the Association for Orientation, Transition, & Retention in Higher Education).
Originally from Ann Arbor, Michigan, Kaitlyn earned her Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Eastern Michigan University and her Master’s degree in Higher Education and Student Affairs from Florida State University. As a graduate student, she was a GA turned Interim Program Coordinator in the Office of New Student and Family Programs and was recognized by NODA as a recipient of the Region VI Outstanding Graduate Student Award. Kaitlyn also interned in the Center for Leadership and Social Change with their Service Leadership Seminar program.
What excites Kaitlyn most about her work is the opportunity to help students create lasting leadership experiences that allow them to explore their potential and feel a part of the UGA community.
Kasper brings more than 20 years of experience in University Housing. She previously served as executive director of residential education at the University of South Florida, director of residential education and associate director of University Housing and Dining Services at Oregon State University, and assistant director for residential education at the University of Arizona.
At South Florida, Kasper oversaw the implementation of a residential curriculum that contributed to increase USF’s overall persistence rate to record highs. She also served as interim chief housing officer, supervising facilities, operations and outreach, and budget and finance.
Her professional associations include being elected to serve as Residence Education Director for the Association of College and University Housing Officers – International (ACUHO-I) and past service as co-chair and faculty for the annual ACPA Residential Curriculum Institute, as well as faculty chair for the National Housing Training Institute.
Kasper earned her Master of Education in higher education and student affairs administration from the University of Vermont and her bachelor of science in public relations with a minor in broadcasting from Northern Michigan University.
As the Administrative Assistant II for International Student Life, Linden serves as the first point of contact to the office, oversees the student workers, manages financial processes, and supports student organizations and the office as a whole.
Linden, originally from Birmingham, Alabama, received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Fashion from the Savannah College of Art and Design- Atlanta. She worked in the fashion and hospitality industries during and after college, before starting work with International Student Life in October 2017. In her free time she enjoys yoga, traveling, watching baseball, and working on her hobby farm in Madison, Georgia, where she resides with her husband and son.
Dr. Lauren Pucci joined the health center staff in 2017. She earned her PhD in Counseling Psychology from Ball State University in Muncie, IN. She completed a Pre-doctoral Internship at Virginia Commonwealth University’s University Counseling Services and a Post-doctoral Fellowship at the University of Georgia (CAPS). Her areas of interest include interpersonal/relationship concerns, sexuality/sexual health, identity work, multiculturalism, trauma, and concerns related to alcohol and/or substance abuse. Dr. Satya Thippareddi joined University Health Center in October 2017. After practicing in India for several years she relocated to the U.S. to complete a Family Practice Residency and has been certified by the American Board of Family Medicine continuously since 2006. She worked as a Staff Physician at The Nebraska Medical Center from 2007-2012 before moving to Shenandoah Medical Center in Shenandoah, Iowa, where she worked until July 2017. She was active on a number of committees at both hospitals where she served as a member as well as chair--Utilization Review Committee, Peer Review Committee, Emergency Department Committee, and Obstetrics Committee—and was the medical director for the Diabetic Self-Management Program. She relocated to Athens in July 2017 to join her husband, who is an academic faculty member in Poultry Science at UGA.

Olivia Tran is from the San Francisco Bay and is a graduate of The University of California-Los Angeles where she received a bachelor's degree in history. She most recently served as a college admissions counselor for a private company in Sunnyvale, California and now joins The LGBT Resource Center as a graduate assistant. In Olivia's spare time, you can find her napping, doodling, or deciding what to marathon next on Crunchyroll.

Taylor Ashe joined the DRC staff in May of 2017 as a C-Print (real-time note taking) and Captioning Specialist. Taylor provides C-Print Captioning to students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing in their daily classes. He also assists the DRC’s Alternative Media Center with transcription and closed captioning services. Prior to moving to Athens, Taylor received his Bachelor of Arts in English, with an emphasis in Secondary Education. Taylor has taught English/Language Arts curriculum both in alternative and traditional school systems in his home state of Idaho, as well as Georgia.
Norma A. Nuñez joined the MSP department in June 2017. She earned a Bachelor’s of Arts in History from Texas A&M International University (TAMIU) in Laredo, Texas and a Master’s of Science in Educational Administration, with a focus on Student Affairs, from Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas. Currently, Norma is pursuing a Ph.D. in College Student Affairs Administration within the College of Education at UGA. Prior to beginning her work with MSP, Norma worked serving and advising first-generation students, student-veterans, and student leaders all in order to promote persistence, retention, and success in college during her attendance in both TAMIU and Texas A&M. Norma also traveled abroad twice (Chile and Finland) during her undergraduate career and once during her graduate career (South Africa). These experiences have allowed Norma to find her passion in helping students, particularly multicultural students, in achieving their goals, both academic and non-academic. In her free time, Norma continues to enjoy traveling, playing guitar, exploring museums, attending concerts, and going to the movie theater.

As the Assistant Director for Learning, Assessment, and Data Initiatives, Erin coordinates division-wide assessment and research efforts, particularly those targeting student learning across Student Affairs experiences. She is responsible for the integration of Student Affairs experiences and UGA’s Experiential Learning initiative. She also coordinates data collection and management for the division, collaborating with Student Affairs departments on data requests and focused assessment projects.
Erin received her Ph.D. from UGA’s Institute of Higher Education, a Master of Arts from The Ohio State University, and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Kentucky. Prior to joining Learning & Strategic Initiatives, she worked as a graduate research assistant for IHE and as assistant dean for academic advising and director of New Student Orientation and Community Programs at Kenyon College (Gambier, OH). These roles encompassed a variety of responsibilities in student affairs, including orientation, pre-orientation programs, women’s programs, and community service initiatives. Outside of the office, Erin volunteers her time with U-Lead Athens (an Athens-area nonprofit dedicated to college access) and is an avid cyclist.
As the Assistant Director for Staff Development, James coordinates division-wide staff development initiatives. He is responsible for department workshops, coordinating the Engage! Conference, New Staff Orientation, and other opportunities that arise through staff feedback and assessment.
James received his M.Ed. in Higher Education and Student Affairs from the University of South Carolina and his Bachelor of Arts in Athletic Training from the University of North Carolina - Wilmington. Prior to joining Learning & Strategic Initiatives, he worked in Fraternity and Sorority Life as the IFC, NPHC, and Panhellenic advisor throughout his tenure as the Assistant Director of Greek Life at Vanderbilt University. Outside of the office, James spends his time as a volunteer lacrosse coach, practicing photography, and taking his corgi Pancake on adventures.
Dr. Cary Hefty joined University Health Center in January 2017. She previously practiced as a staff physician with Greenville Health System Pediatrics and Internal Medicine from January 2015-September 2016, when she moved with her family to Washington, Georgia. Prior to that she worked as a staff physician at Wills Memorial Hospital and Community Medical Associates Rural Health Clinic from August 2013-December 2014. Dr. Hefty is double-board certified in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics.

Caron Hope joined the University Health Center in November 2016 as the Assistant Director for Health Promotion and RSVP. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science from the University of Georgia and a Master’s Degree in Community Counseling from the University of North Georgia. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor. Prior to coming to UGA, she was a direct service provider at Advantage Behavioral Health Systems where she provided individual and group therapy to children, adults and families, with a focus on women and trauma. As the Assistant Director for RSVP, her primary role is overseeing and providing advocacy support services to students and managing the 24 hour on call services available to students impacted by interpersonal violence. Caron also serves on various committees, teams and task forces to help inform policy around campus and community prevention of and response to interpersonal violence. Safe Space Ally
Dr. Scarlett Schneider joined University Health Center in September 2016 after three years as clinical assistant professor at the Vanderbilt University Student Health Center at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where she supervised rotating Internal Medicine residents and Primary Care Sports Medicine fellows. During her time at Vanderbilt, Dr. Schneider served as a member of the Sexual Violence Prevention Committee, the Immunization Compliance Planning Committee, the Influenza Vaccine Exemption Committee, and coordinator of the CME Lecture Series. She also served on the Staff Council at the student health center.

Teresa joined the physical therapy staff in 2016. Her areas of interest include spine and pelvic girdle rehab as they relate to optimal core strategy for general health as well as sport performance. Along with her colleagues, she continues to expand upon the integration of nutrition, mental, cardiovascular, and sleep in maximizing musculoskeletal and postural health.

As the Doctoral Intern for the Center for Leadership and Service, Melvin works closely with the IMPACT Service Breaks program. In this role, he develops curriculum for and instructs course for IMPACT Site Leaders and participants and also co-advises the IMPACT Executive Board. Additionally, Melvin works with the program on research, assessment, and evaluation to provide the highest quality experiences possible for the IMPACT Service Breaks program. Melvin has also worked with the UGA Freshman College Summer Experience program as a Graduate Teaching Assistant. To this role, he brings talents and skills related to addressing the needs of LGBTQ populations, assessment, and information literacy.
Melvin earned his Bachelor’s degree in Music Education from Towson University and his Master’s degree in Information (Library and Information Services) from the University of Michigan. Melvin is currently working on his PhD in the College Student Affairs Administration program at UGA. Prior to UGA, Melvin has worked in various capacities at the Howard Law Library, University of Michigan Law Library, University of Michigan Harlan Hatcher Graduate and Shapiro Undergraduate Libraries, and the University of Michigan Kresge Business Administration Library. Most recently, Melvin was a Joliet Junior College working as a Librarian and tenured Assistant Professor.
Melvin’s professional interests include qualitative research, equity, diversity, and inclusion, assessment, and applying critical theories to instruction and student affairs practices. What excited Melvin most about his work is seeing the passion that IMPACT student have for service. Their energy excites him and keeps him grounded in the vital role service-learning plays in shaping student leaders. It is also personally rewarding (and exciting!) for him to be a part of the process of transforming students’ relationships to service and deepening their knowledge of pressing social issues.
As the Graduate Assistant for Leadership and Transition, Sam serves as a Co-Advisor for The Arch Society, a group of talented student leaders who serve as the official hosts and goodwill ambassadors for the University of Georgia. In her role, she works closely with the Arch Society Executive Board members and directly advises the Vice Chair of Committees, overseeing all internal operations for the group.
Sam earned her Bachelor’s degree in Sociology and Psychology, with a minor in Leadership in Student Affairs from the University of Georgia and is currently working on her Master’s degree in the College Student Affairs Administration program at UGA. Prior to working in the Center, Sam served in various leadership capacities at Camp Kingfisher at the Chattahoochee Nature Center and was an Intern for the Student Affairs Communications and Marketing Initiatives office at UGA. While a student leader at UGA, Sam served as a founding member and office for the UGA chapter of the Ronald McDonald House Charities, the Founding President of her sorority, and was a leader in the Panhellenic Council among other activities.
Sam’s professional interests include leadership development, service learning, and student activities. When asked what she enjoys most about her work, she responded “I find great joy in empowering students during their time at UGA. When a student discovers what they are passionate about, there is no limit to what they can accomplish. Seeing them grow as leaders, students, and friends through some of the programs offered by the Division of Student Affairs is so rewarding, and is why I love the work that I do.”
Missy Jackson, WHNP-BC, joined our staff in August 2016. She has 12 years of experience in women’s health care in hospital, private, and rural public health settings. Additionally, she serves the greater Athens community as a Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (S.A.N.E.).

Catherine Ashe joined the DRC staff in June of 2016 as a C-Print (real-time note taking) and Captioning Specialist, and she was promoted to Senior Coordinator in January 2017. She received her Master's in Education from the University of Idaho in Rehabilitation Counseling and Human Services and is a certified rehabilitation counselor. Prior to moving to Athens, Catherine worked for the state of Idaho as a vocational rehabilitation counselor.
Samra Ward joined the Disability Resource Center (DRC) staff in June 2016 and works with a varied caseload of students to ensure their academic success. Prior to joining the DRC, Samra obtained an undergraduate degree in psychology and French from the Sally McDonnell Barksdale Honors College at The University of Mississippi, as well as a Master of Arts degree in Higher Education/Student Personnel. While pursuing graduate studies at Ole Miss, Samra worked in their disability services and student housing offices and presented on disability-related issues at the regional and international levels. Outside of the university, Samra is involved with the American College Personnel Association’s Coalition for (Dis)Ability.
Dr. Michele Howard serves as an associate vice president for Student Affairs where she oversees the Center for Leadership and Service, International Student Life, the LGBT Resource Center, and Multicultural Services and Programs. She also serves as the co-chair for the Council on the First Year Experience and coordinates the Minor in College Student Affairs Administration for Student Affairs.
Michele earned her Bachelor of Science in mathematics education and Master of Education in student personnel services from the University of South Carolina and her Doctor of Education in leadership studies in higher education from the University of Tennessee. She joined the UGA Student Affairs team in May 2016.
Dr. Angela Nutt Hahn joined the CAPS staff in 2016. She earned her MSW and BA in psychology from the University of Georgia. She completed her PsyD at the Georgia School of Professional Psychology. Before joining CAPS she completed a pre-doctoral internship at University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill's Counseling and Psychological Services and a post-doctoral fellowship at UGA CAPS. Dr. Hahn was previously employed as a psychologist at UNC Chapel Hill's Counseling and Psychological Services. Her special areas of interest include relationship concerns, trauma, eating disorders, body image, and supervision/training.
Brad Erbesfield joined the DRC’s staff as an Education Program Specialist in 2015. He became a Coordinator Assistant in July 2016 and was promoted to Senior Coordinator in December 2016. Before joining the DRC, Brad earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Child & Family Development with a certificate in Personal and Organizational Leadership and a Master of Art degree in Nonprofit Organizations from the University of Georgia.
Tori Whitaker joined the DRC's staff in 2014 as a Senior Proctor in the Accommodated Testing Office. She was promoted to Disability Resource Assistant in 2015 and to Accommodated Testing Specialist in 2016. In this role, Tori administers approved testing services for students with disabilities, communicates with faculty regarding testing, and supervises the Accommodated Testing Office’s student and clerical workers. Before joining the DRC's staff, Tori earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from the University of Georgia in 2014.
As the Director of the Disability Resource Center, Erin leads the university’s commitment to educate and serve students with disabilities, ensuring equal educational opportunities as required by the ADA and other legislation. The Disability Resource Center houses three distinct services: the Test Accommodations Office for onsite classroom testing; the Assistive Technology Lab equipped with a variety of programs designed for people with disabilities; and Alternative Media Services, which converts required printed material into accessible formats for students with reading disabilities.
Erin has two degrees from the University of Georgia, a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology and a Master of Public Administration and Policy. She spent most of her undergraduate years at UGA as a student disc jockey for the WUOG 90.5 radio station. Erin initially joined the staff of the Disability Resource Center in 2015 as senior coordinator and has served as senior assistant director since December 2016. Previously, she served more than nine years in Student Affairs at the University of North Georgia Oconee Campus, including seven years working directly with students with disabilities.
Jennifer Hester is a licensed clinical social worker who joined the CAPS staff as the lead mental health professional in 2015. She earned a BA in Psychology, with a minor in Family Studies, from Berry College and a Master's of Social Work from UGA. She has a pre-doctorate certificate in Marriage and Family Therapy. Additionally, she is certified in QPR Gatekeeper Training for Suicide Prevention and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Mrs. Hester has previous experience in psychiatric hospitals, emergency rooms, and private practice working with adults experiencing couples/marital concerns as well as experience in crisis stabilization programs for children/adolescents and outpatient/community mental health treatment for adults with severe and persistent mental illness and/or substance-related disorders. Her areas of interest include marriage/couples/relationship issues, family of origin, spiritual concerns, trauma, and crisis intervention.
Robert Douglas graduated from Georgia Massage Institute in 2008 where he was trained in Trigger Point Therapy by Dr. Kim Miller, DC, former student of Dr. Janet Travell, MD (co-founder of Trigger Point Therapy and President Kennedy’s White House Physician). Since then he has worked primarily in chiropractic offices and has been exposed to numerous musculoskeletal conditions. Robert is trained in a variety of modalities including: Swedish, Deep Tissue,Trigger Point Therapy, Neuromuscular Therapy, and Myoskeletal Alignment Techniques. He has also taken courses in Personal Training and Corrective Exercise through the National Academy of Sports Medicine.

Samantha Adair joined the DRC’s staff as a Coordinator in 2015 and manages a varied caseload of students. Before joining the DRC, she received a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from the University of Georgia. She also holds a Master of Arts degree in Educational Psychology from the University of Georgia. Samantha previously worked at UGA in many departments including the School Psychology Department and the Athletic Department. Prior to her career at UGA, she provided interventions for elementary school students with learning disabilities and taught an undergraduate educational psychology course.
Christine Carpenter joined the DRC’s staff as an Alternative Text Production Assistant in 2013. In 2015, she began a new role as a Captioning Assistant and C-Print Transcriptionist. Christine provides students with captions for media viewed in the classroom as well as real-time captioning for class lectures and discussions. Before joining the DRC, Christine studied Theatre at the University of North Texas and American History at UGA.
Originally from Johns Creek, Georgia, Ben joined the International Student Life staff and the Division of Student Affairs at UGA in 2015. As Assistant Director, Ben advises a collection of cultural student organizations, oversees the orientation & world leader program, and provides support to other office-led initiatives, intercultural trainings, and educational opportunities. Additionally, Ben is an Adjunct Instructor in the College of Education's Department of Counseling & Human Development Services, teaching a section of ECHD 4000 - Global Perspectives in Culture each semester. Prior to August 2017, Ben served as a Senior Coordinator within ISL at UGA and in various capacities at Florida State University in Tallahassee, Florida.
Ben has always enjoyed working with international students and the rich cultures brought to campus. He has previously worked with the US-UK Fulbright Commission, working to advise UK students on US study. In addition, he worked to support the Sutton Trust US Programme, providing opportunities for UK students to study in the US. Ben currently remains involved with the Commission & the Sutton Trust US Programme by mentoring current high-school students interested in pursuing US study. In addition, he is involved nationally with NASPA - Student Affairs Administrators in Higher Education, serving on the leadership board for the International Education Knowledge Community as well as with IASAS, the International Association of Student Affairs and Services.
Ben holds a Masters degree in Higher Education from Florida State University and a Bachelors degree in International Affairs from the University of Georgia. Currently, Ben is pursuing his Ph.D. at the Institute of Higher Education at UGA.
Michelle is the Business Services Assistant Manager for the University Health Center. She received her BS from the Medical College of Georgia in Dental Hygiene in 1983 and previously worked and acquired RDH licenses in Georgia, Florida, and South Carolina. In addition, Michelle worked as a faculty member at MCG in Augusta in 1996. Michelle earned a Master of Business Administration from Augusta State University in 1990 and used her expertise in establishing and building a medical specialty practice in the private sector in Athens from 2000-2012. Michelle became part of the UHC family in 2014. Her responsibilities include credentialing and establishing network status with insurance companies, maintaining interactive communication and resolution of complaints with students and parents on billing issues, training new staff within the business services department, and auditing provider coding and documentation for accuracy and appropriateness.
Jeff Pentz is the assistant director of information technology and the HIPAA security officer at UHC. He joined the staff in 2002. He earned a BS in Forest Resource from UGA in 1981. He has worked with computer technology since 1976, both as a hobby and professionally. He owned and ran an IT consulting company for 15 years, has worked in IT support, management, academic, and administrative roles at UGA for 15 years, and has experience with networking, programming, systems design, information security, project and staff management, and IT skills training.
Alicia Talbird is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who joined the CAPS staff in 2013. She earned a BS degree in Psychology from Georgia College and State University and MSW from the University of Georgia. Alicia has been the case manager in CAPS since April 2015. In that role she collaborates with students to identify and access resources on campus and in the community to ensure students’ needs are being met. In her previous experiences working with mental health and substance abuse Alicia developed a client centered treatment approach to address concerns identified by the client which she also uses in the CAPS setting. Alicia’s special areas of clinical interest include trauma, DBT, mindfulness, relationships, self-esteem, and substance abuse.
Linda Thurmond has been a part of the University Health Center staff since 2002 and is a registered nurse in Medical Clinic Blue. She graduated with a BSN from Ball State University in Muncie, IN. Her previous experience includes work in Pediatrics, Community/Public Health, and Tuberculosis. In addition, she is a CPR instructor.
Shannon is the Business Services Manager for the University Health Center. She received her B.S. from the State University of West Georgia in 1999 and became a Certified Professional Coder (CPC) in 2009. Shannon and her husband moved to Oconee County in 2004, and she joined the UHC staff in November of 2007, after working in the private medical sector for 7+ years. Among other duties, she is responsible for managing accounts receivable; preparing accurate, thorough, and timely financial reports; oversight of medical billing; serving as a liaison with UGA Human Resources in managing the university student health insurance plan (SHIP); and coordinating UHC managed care in-network insurance operations.
Bill is the Material Services Manager for the University Health Center. He received his MBA from Brenau University in 1996. A Native of Chicago, Ill., he joined the staff in 1992 after serving six years as an officer in the United Sates Navy. Bill became familiar with Athens while stationed as a student at the Navy Supply Corps. Among other duties, he currently is responsible for the Financial Reporting, Purchasing, Auditing, Warehousing and Communication services, and support for the Health Center.
Marie DeRamus joined the health center staff in 1997 and is the clinic manager of Medical Clinic Gold/Urgent Care. She is a graduate of Georgia Baptist Hospital School of Nursing and earned a BSN from Georgia Southern University. Mrs. DeRamus' past experience includes ER, ICU, staff development and training, Home Health Care, Home IV Therapy, and various management positions.
Melanie Gibson is the manager of Registration Health Information at the health center and first joined the staff in 1994. She is a registered health information administrator and a member of the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA). She earned her BS from University of Central Florida and her MBA at Brenau University. She serves as the privacy officer for the health center and serves on the advisory board at Athens Technical College for the Health Information Management Technology program.
Carrie Smith serves as the Assistant Dean of Students for Student Care & Outreach, providing individualized support and assistance to students experiencing hardship circumstances. She oversees general case management within Student Care & Outreach. Additionally, Carrie provides trainings and informational sessions to campus and community partners about working with students of concern and the role of Student Care & Outreach. Carrie also serves as a member of the university’s Behavioral Assessment and Response Council (BARC).
Carrie received a B.B.A. in Marketing from Mississippi State University, an M.Ed. in Counselor Education from the University of Mississippi, and she holds a Ph.D. in College and Student Personnel Services from UGA. She worked in corporate public relations at Fleishman-Hillard before returning to the field of education to serve as the Assistant Director of Admissions at The Browning School. Prior to coming to UGA, Carrie worked with graduate admissions, scholarship programming, and athletics at the University of Mississippi. She served as the Student Affairs Case Manager before this position.
Tracy Crockett joined the health center staff in January 2015. She has 28 years of experience in primary care, dermatology, women’s health, urology, neurology, ENT, and cardiology. Her most recent experience was with Oconee Heart & Vascular Group.

Jackie Mitchell-Evans joined the UTS staff as a Psychometric Assistant in 2011. Jackie assists the Data Collections Manager with faculty services. She sets up and manages face-to-face proctoring for Office of Online Testing. Jackie assists in proctoring a wide variety of computer and paper-based exams for students of the University of Georgia and members of the UGA community. Prior to joining UTS, Jackie earned a Bachelor of Arts degree and MSW degree from UGA. Prior to UTS, Jackie worked at Athens Regional Medical Center and DFCS and Project Safe Domestic Violence Shelter.
Pam Wofford joined the DRC’s staff as a Coordinator Assistant in 2013. Pam assists the Coordinator of Architectural Access and Disability Services with managing architectural accessibility and a diverse caseload. She also serves as the On Call Coordinator when needed. Before joining the DRC, Pam earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Science from UGA. Prior to her career at UGA, Pam worked as a professional dog trainer.
Tammie Martin joined the DRC’s staff as a Main Desk Accommodations Assistant in 2014. Tammie serves as the DRC’s initial point of contact. She communicates with students, parents, professors, and members of the community via telephone and in person whenever they contact the DRC. She also assists the DRC’s staff with maintaining student records. Before joining the DRC, Tammie worked in UGA’s Office of Student Financial Aid. Prior to her career at UGA, Tammie worked 10 years for the Clarke County School District.
Annie Gibson joined the DRC’s staff as an Alternative Text Production Assistant in 2009. She was promoted to Senior Proctor in the Accommodated Testing Office in 2013. In her current position, Annie administers approved testing services for students with disabilities and communicates with faculty regarding testing. Annie is a certified yoga instructor and facilitates the DRC’s Quiet Mind Program. Through this program, Annie teaches relaxation techniques and exercises that promote emotional and physical wellbeing. Before joining the DRC, Annie earned a Bachelor of Music degree in Music Therapy from UGA.
Ashley Frederick joined the DRC’s staff as an Alternative Text Production Assistant in 2014. She was promoted to Disability Resource Assistant in 2015 and to Alternative Text Production Coordinator in 2016. Ashley oversees the alternative text production at the DRC and works with publishers, agencies, and non-profit organizations to obtain required text in accessible formats for students who have print-related disabilities. Before joining the DRC, Ashley earned a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work with a minor in Psychology from the University of Central Florida.
Teresa Edwards joined the DRC’s staff as an Accommodated Testing Specialist in 2004. Since then she has served in many capacities at the DRC and is currently working as a Coordinator Assistant. Working with student caseloads from the point of admission to graduation, Teresa executes an array of support services and academic interaction with students with disabilities. Teresa participates in coordinator/student meetings to assure appropriate testing and classroom needs, registers incoming students, proctors tests, and maintains efficient case records. Teresa has completed coursework toward a Bachelor’s degree in Child and Family Development at UGA.
Rebecca serves as the Associate Director for the Office of Student Conduct at the University of Georgia. She is responsible for resolving alleged violations of UGA’s code of conduct and for oversight of case assignments, budget management, office supervision, and for coordination of the office's outreach and education initiatives.
Rebecca received a B.A. from LaGrange College, an M.Ed in Higher Education and Student Affairs from the University of South Carolina, and a J.D. from the University of Georgia School of Law. Prior to assuming her current role at UGA, Rebecca worked at the University of South Carolina and the University of Texas at Dallas, and most recently she worked in the Office of Student Integrity at Georgia Tech.
Beau Seagraves is responsible for overseeing Student Care and Outreach, which provides individualized assistance to students experiencing hardship circumstances, support to faculty and staff working with students in distress, and guidance to parents seeking help and information on behalf of their students. He also coordinates the case management functions for the university’s Behavioral Assessment and Response Council (BARC).
Beau received a B.A. in History & Political Science from Furman University. He holds an M.Ed. in Counselor Education from Clemson University and a Ph.D. in Counseling & Student Personnel Services from the University of Georgia. Beau has worked within the Division of Student Affairs at UGA since 2007. He also serves as an adjunct faculty member in the university’s Department of Counseling and Human Development Services. Prior to coming to UGA, Beau worked at Presbyterian College and Furman University.
Laura Kendrick is the web developer for the Office of the Dean of Students. She received her bachelor's degree in Art History from the University of Alabama.
Laura began her career at the Carter Center and then worked in the Russian and East European Studies department at Emory University. She worked developing websites as part of each position she held. She then began designing websites as a career when she helped start and worked for Athens Web Group. She enjoys the challenges in her work and she looks forward to learning new technologies as the web develops and changes.
In her spare time, she enjoys pottery, hiking, travel and spending time with her kids.
Don Reagin is assistant to the dean for marketing and communications. He holds bachelor’s degrees in broadcast journalism and speech communication and a master’s degree in mass communication, all from the University of Georgia. Don works to provide communications support to the four units with the dean's office as well as the cultural units within Student Affairs – International Student Life, the LGBT Resource Center and Multicultural Services and Programs.
Prior to joining Student Affairs, Don worked on the UGA campus as director of corporate communications for the Georgia Center for Continuing Education. He began his professional career as a news reporter for the Clarke Broadcasting Corporation, based in Atlanta and Athens. Don is active in community service and spends his free time collecting vintage music, playing piano and pondering the meaning of life.
Jan Davis Barham is Associate Dean of Students and Director of the Tate Student Center. She is responsible for managing the operations of Tate to include facility services, Campus Reservations Events and Technical Services, Print & Copy Services, the UGA Card Office, the UGA Chapel, and the Center for Student Activities & Involvement, which administers the Student Government Association, University Union Student Programming Board, Pandora Yearbook, WUOG 90.5FM, the Graduate Student Association, and over 800 registered student organizations. Jan also oversees the Freedom of Expression Policy for the University of Georgia and serves as a member of the Behavioral Response Team.
Jan received her Ph.D. from the University of Georgia in 2004, her master’s degree from Appalachian State University in 1997 and her bachelor’s degree from the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill in 1994. She has served as a Graduate Faculty member in the College Student Affairs Administration program at the University of Georgia for the last seven years. Jan has authored several published articles including Increasing Accountability in Student Affairs Through a New Comprehensive Assessment Model, and most recently co-edited a book, A Practitioners Guide to Assessment.
Greg Albanese graduated from the University of Georgia in 1998 with a bachelor’s degree in agricultural economics and received his master’s degree in agricultural leadership in 2004.
Greg began his career at the Tate Student Center as a student employee in 1995 then as a full-time staff member beginning in 1998. He is currently the Associate Director for Facilities and Operations.
Greg is married to Mandi Herrin Albanese who also works at UGA in the Office of Academic Planning.
Bill McDonald became Dean of Students at the University of Georgia on January 1, 2011. In this role, he is known as a strong student advocate who meets with student groups and individual students on a daily basis.
McDonald oversees five departments, including the Disability Resource Center, Student Care and Outreach, Student Veterans Resource Center, Tate Student Center (including the Center for Student Activities and Involvement, which oversees approximately 800 student organizations), and University Testing Services. Additional responsibilities include advising the Student Government Association, serving as Chair of the Behavioral Assessment and Response Council, serving as the designated Sexual Assault Appeals Hearing Officer, serving as the Student Affairs Divisional liaison to the Campus Ministry Association, and maintains Graduate Faculty Status in the College of Education.
McDonald has 37 years of experience at colleges and universities throughout the southeast. He has held elected and appointed leadership positions within the American College Personnel Association, the National Association of Student Personnel Administrators and the Southern Association of College Student Affairs. Author of dozens of publications in higher education journals with a focus on model partnerships between academic and student affairs, assessing student perceptions of community, building campus community, diversity and inclusivity, and ethical decision making.
McDonald is active in community service. Currently he serves as a member of the National Campus Advisory Committee for the College Diabetes Network, a member of the Advisory Board for Branch Banking and Trust Company, and is a Clark County Community Mentor. Prior activities include serving as the Vice Chair of the Athens Light the Night Walk for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, Chair of the Board of Directors for the Northeast Georgia Chapter of the American Red Cross, and participating and graduating from LEAD Athens and the Georgia Academy for Economic Development.
McDonald received an Ed.D. from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, an M.A. from Appalachian State University and a B.A. from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill.
Keith Wenrich leads the Department of Recreational Sports, serves on the leadership team for the Division of Student Affairs and reports directly to the associate vice president for student affairs. He is responsible for the operations of all recreational facilities including the Ramsey Student Center, Pound/Wheeler Gym on the health science campus, Rec Sports complex, Club Sports complex, the Lake Herrick Pavilion, and the Challenge Course in the Oconee Forrest. Keith leads a team of 29 professionals, 10 graduate assistants and more than 550 student employees.
Keith received his undergraduate degree from Susquehanna University in business administration and his M.S. from the University of Southern Mississippi in sports administration. He has worked in UGA’s Division of Student Affairs since 2007 and has worked in higher education for 25 years.
Carla Dennis serves as the director of administrative services and communications in University Housing. As director, she provides leadership and oversight for assignments and contracts, business and human resources, marketing and public relations, and information technology operations for University Housing. Dennis has been with the University of Georgia and University Housing since 2000, where she has also served in the roles of residence hall director, area coordinator and assistant to the executive director.
Dennis received her Ph.D. from the University of Georgia in 2006, her master’s from Kansas State University in 2000, and her bachelor’s degree from North Central College in 1998.
Dr. Gary Glasser joined the Health Center in October 2014 after 15 years of private practice as an obstetrician and gynecologist in Atlanta. He served on the faculty of Emory University in the Department of Gynecology and Obstetrics from 1992-2005. He volunteers as a lecturer for Atlanta elementary and middle schools on sun safety and puberty. Dr. Glasser has published numerous papers on subjects relating to women's health, and has made a number of presentations at regional and national conferences on contraception and breast health. Rita Melville joined the Vision Clinic staff in 2010. She started in the optical field in 1985 and was licensed as an optician by the State of Georgia in 1990. She is certified by the American Board of Opticianry and the National Contact Lens Examiners. Rita has studied fashion merchandising and business, and has worked in retail and optical management.
Janice Coley has been with the Vision Clinic staff since the opening in 2009. She was previously a Licensed Dispensing Optician in Tennessee, certified by the American Board of Opticianry and National Contact Lens Examiners. She has twenty-nine years of optical experience and has served as staff and management for private optometrist practices. She obtained her Georgia license, ABOC and NCLE, and owned and operated an Eyecare office for eleven years, prior to coming to UGA health center.
Amy Stowers joined the health center staff as the Vision Clinic manager in 2009. She holds a BS in marketing from North Georgia College and State University and is a Licensed Dispensing Optician. She is certified by the American Board of Opticianry and National Contact Lens Examiners. She has worked as an optician for 15 years in both ophthalmology and optometry settings.
Dr. Angela Ellerman joined the staff in 2010 and is the lead optometrist in the Vision Clinic. Her past experience includes working as an optometrist at Advanced Family EyeCare of Madison; Lee, Ellerman and Associates; and Athens Eye Doctors and Surgeons. Dr. Ellerman enjoys working with all areas of contact lens technology.

Renildo Guimaraes (Rene) started his Massage Therapy education in Hong Kong and Thailand in 1997 where he studied Reflexology, Aromatherapy, and Deep Tissue Massage. Rene joined the Health Center staff as a Massage Therapist in 2007. He is a graduate of the American Institute of Massage in Pompano Beach. He is certified by the Georgia Massage Therapy Licensing Board. Rene is trained in a variety of massage techniques including Deep Tissue, Medical Massage, Reflexology, Thai Massage, Swedish Massage, Hawaiian Lomi-Lomi, Neuromuscular Re-education, Myofascial Release, and Trigger Point Therapy.

Nationally Certified since 1997, Amy Abrahamsen, combines Medical Massage, Massage and Energy Balancing methods to offer a deeply relaxing massage. Utilizing Myofascial Release, Swedish, Shiatsu, Craniosacral, Reflexology and Reiki techniques she blends intuitive hands-on awareness with an understanding of body mechanics. As a Yoga Instructor trained in the Integral Yoga Tradition, she incorporates and teaches yoga stretches and breathing practices to offer effective take-home tools to her clients. Amy also incorporates her extensive background in Herbal Medicine into sessions on request, as well as guided imagery, nutritional information and biofeedback.

Mr. Henry Pursner joined the health center staff in 2011. Prior to that he was a rehabilitation manager for a large outpatient clinic in Sunnyvale, CA, treating ergonomic, sports medicine and chronic pain patients. Most recently he worked for Atlanta Falcons Physical Therapy/Athens Therapeutics in Bogart/Winder. His special areas of interest include treatment of the spine and extremities with an emphasis on diagnosing and treating the whole body as a unit.

Dr. Andy Smith is the manager of the Physical Therapy Department at the University Health Center. His areas of interest include movement/functional-based evaluation and assessment; the role of functional training in injury prevention and wellness; the role of postural dysfunction and repetitive tissue microtrauma on chronic/recurrent pain syndromes; spinal, peripheral joint and soft tissue mobilization/manipulation/dry needling; and the role of nutrition, mental health, cardiovascular health, and sleep health on management of overall wellness and integrative health.

Suzanne Poole has been part of the pharmacy staff since 1999. She earned an Associates Degree from East Georgia College and a BSPharm from UGA. Before coming to UHC, she worked for Village Drug Shop in Athens and Tomlinson Pharmacy in Dublin, GA. Suzanne enjoys working in the health center pharmacy because of our commitment to counsel on every new prescription and to serving students.
Debra Gray joined the pharmacy staff in 1994. She earned her BSPharm from UGA. Debra loves her job, and sees the best part as working with the students.
Dr. Jodi Kearney joined the UHC staff in 2011 and is the assistant manager of the pharmacy. She completed her undergraduate courses at Georgia Southern University and graduated Magna Cum Laude from Mercer University Southern School of Pharmacy with her PharmD in 2001. Jodi also holds APhA Immunization Certification and Basic Cardiac Life Support Certification.
Dr. Bradford Upchurch is manager of the pharmacy having joined the UHC staff in 2007. He earned a BSPharm at UGA and a PharmD at the University of Florida. Larisa Wallace is the department manager and assessment specialist for the Health Promotion Department and John Fontaine, Jr. Center for Alcohol Awareness and Education. She is a registered health information administrator and graduated from the Medical College of Georgia with a Bachelor of Science in Health Information Management and a Master of Public Health in Health Informatics. She also holds an Associate of Applied Science degree in Respiratory Therapy. Larisa oversees the operations of the department; develops and maintains various databases and performs data analysis; participates in assessment activities; designs UHC written materials; and coordinates the scheduling of programs and various activities for the department. Kelly Truesdell is the assistant director of health promotion and community outreach. She is a Certified Health Education Specialist and received both her BS in Health Promotion and a Master of Public Health degree from the University of Georgia. Kelly co-advises the Fontaine Center Student Advisory Board, coordinates campus outreach opportunities for a variety of issues related to Alcohol and Other Drugs, and is available for individual educational counseling. Robert Ross is an alcohol and other drug prevention coordinator. He holds a BA in biology from St. Cloud State University in Minnesota and a Masters in Social Work from Colorado State University. He is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. His past experience includes working as an alcohol and other drug clinician and case manager at Colorado State University and a community dual diagnosis clinician and case manager in Fort Collins, CO. He also has sixteen years experience working in disability services for adults. He is interested in supporting students to achieve their academic and personal goals, as well as AOD program development and implementation for UGA students. Jason Callis is the Program Manager for the Collegiate Recovery Community here at UGA. Jason earned his BBA in marketing at the University of West Georgia. After earning his undergraduate degree he worked at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta. He earned his MSW with a focus in mental health and substance abuse counseling from Kennesaw State University. Jason has been involved with the development and growth of Collegiate Recovery Communities since 2009 and is a member of the Association of Recovery in Higher Education. He has also worked and volunteered for recovery and treatment programs specifically targeted to college students. Jason is dedicated to providing resources and a community for students in recovery from addictive behaviors, and he works closely with students in recovery to help them reach their academic and personal goals. Niki Stephenson joined the UHC staff as a dental hygienist in 2011. She earned an Associate of Applied Science degree from Athens Technical College and is a Registered Dental Hygienist. Previously she worked in private practice in Athens. Ms. Stephenson enjoys making patients feel comfortable, educating patients about their oral health, and encouraging patients to make healthy choices for their oral and overall health.
Emily Shumate joined the staff as a dental hygienist in 1998. She has an AA degree in dental hygiene from Meridian Community College in Meridian, Mississippi. Before coming to UHC, she worked for dentists in private practice in Meridian, Mississippi and in Watkinsville, Georgia. Dr. Josh Zaleski joined the health center staff in 2011. He earned a BS in biology from the University of Georgia and DMD from Medical College of Georgia. He is a member of the American Dental Association and the Georgia Dental Association. Before coming to UGA he owned and operated a private practice outside of Atlanta. His special areas of interest are cosmetic dentistry, endodontics, and crowns and bridges.
Dr. John Leffert, Lead Dentist for the University Health Center's Dental Clinic, has been on staff since 1999. He holds a BBA from UGA in marketing and a DMD from Medical College of Georgia. His areas of interest are endodontics and restorative dentistry.
Dr. Arial Treankler joined the CAPS staff in 2013. She earned a double BA in Psychology and Sociology: Law, Crime, and Deviance, a Masters in Counseling Psychology, and a PsyD in Clinical Psychology. In addition to these educational activities, she also has various experiences at NAIA and Division I levels in applied sport psychology – an internship at Wichita State University and a post-doctoral residency at the University of California – Davis. Dr. Treankler (Dr. T.) is a Clinical Sport Psychologist trained as a clinical generalist, who also offers specialty clinical and performance enhancement services at regional, conference, and national levels. Other areas of interest include identity development, the challenges of adjustment, trauma, interpersonal concerns, men’s and women’s issues, anger, disordered eating, and stress management. She utilizes a variety of techniques in order to help students reach their maximum potential in a variety of areas, i.e. academic, athletic, personal.
Dr. Ash Thompson is the Senior Director of Counseling and Psychiatric Services. He graduated from the University of South Dakota School of Medicine. He completed a psychiatric residency and a fellowship in forensic psychiatry at the Medical College of Wisconsin. Stevie Stigler joined the CAPS staff in 2013. She earned a BS in Psychology from Georgia College and a MA in Professional Counseling from the Georgia School of Professional Psychology at Argosy/Atlanta. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor and also a Nationally Certified Counselor. Her previous experience includes providing in-home therapy for families facing loss, divorce, addiction issues, family instability and/or traumatic experiences. Her clinical interests are stress management, depression, adjustment disorders, anxiety, family/interpersonal problems and crisis intervention. Others areas of interest include mental health outreach programs and psychoeducation at both clinical and community levels. Ms. Stigler's methodology of service is supportive, inviting and client centered. She works together with clients to assist in creating a treatment approach tailored to their individual needs to foster awareness for personal growth.
Dr. Austin Shedden joined the CAPS staff in 2011. He earned a BS in counseling and an MA in marriage and family therapy/family counseling from Johnson Bible College in Tennessee. He continued his studies at Argosy University in Atlanta where he earned a MA and PsyD in clinical psychology. His practicum experience includes working in college counseling centers, in private practice and at Northwest Georgia Regional Hospital. He completed a predoctoral internship at The College of William and Mary Counseling Center in Williamsburg, VA. He also worked at an alcohol and drug treatment facility. Dr. Shedden's areas of interest include anxiety, depression, relationship issues, family of origin issues, substance use issues, training/supervision and multicultural issues.
Dawn Healy joined the CAPS staff in 2013. She earned her MSW and BFA from the University of Georgia. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. Before joining CAPS she worked in community mental health at Advantage Behavioral Health and more recently at Granville Health Systems. She utilizes a variety of approaches; cognitive behavioral, psychodynamic, expressive art techniques, Mindfulness or supportive therapy depending on the needs of the person. She will work to build upon the strengths the client already possesses as well as learning new coping skills, new ways of communicating with friends and family and interrupting old behaviors that no longer foster wellbeing. Her areas of interest focus on relationships and personal growth to adjustment into college life and managing the challenges of graduate school. As a generalist she also works with individuals on depression, anxiety, trauma, family of origin, self esteem and assertiveness. Tricia Coghlan is a licensed clinical social worker and joined the CAPS staff as case manager and therapist in 2010. She is also the MSW Training Coordinator. Ms. Coghlan earned a BS in sociology with an emphasis in social services from Georgia Southern, and a MSW from University of Georgia. Her past experience includes working at a home for pregnant women, with survivors of abuse and in child welfare, and her special areas of interest include women's issues, family concerns, relationships, and adjustment to college. Dr. Al Clarke has been with the health center since September 1996. He received his PhD from Georgia State University. Dr. Clarke is Training Director of the postdoctoral fellowship program and practicum training, and his current clinical interests include Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), supervision, stress disorders, relationship issues, substance abuse, and mindfulness.
Elizabeth Cheely is a Licensed Clinical Social worker who joined the CAPS staff in 2012. She earned a BS degree in Psychology and MSW from the University of Georgia. Ms. Cheely has past experience in working with clients with developmental disabilities, child welfare, and trauma survivors. Ms. Cheely’s approach is to create a compassionate and client centered environment that encourages personal growth and positive change. Dr. Shannon M. Bowles joined the CAPS staff in 2010. She holds a BA in Sociology from the University of Virginia and an MEd in Counselor Education with an emphasis in student affairs practice in higher education also from the University of Virginia. She earned her PhD in Counseling Psychology at West Virginia University. Dr. Bowles completed her pre-doctoral internship at Appalachian State University's Counseling & Psychological Services Center and her post-doctoral fellowship at Georgia State University's Counseling & Testing Center. Amy Aycock joined the health center staff in the Allergy Clinic in 2012. She is a registered nurse and earned her BSN at Brenau University in Gainesville, GA. Ms. Aycock has 15 years of Medical-Surgical experience at St. Mary's Hospital in Athens.
Davelle Pursner joined the staff as the registered nurse in the Travel Clinic in 2011. She earned her BSN from the University of Alberta in Canada. She has 18 years of experience working in five different states around the United States in hospital intensive care units. She is certified in neuroscience nursing. Ms. Pursner is an experienced traveler and has a vast knowledge of diseases which she uses while counseling travelers in the prevention of disease.
Ms. Andrea Welter joined the UHC staff in 2013. Upon graduation from the PA program at MCG, she worked in otolaryngology, seeing patients with routine ENT complaints and allergies, and assisting with radical head and neck surgeries. She has practiced family practice medicine for the last 16 years.

Dr. Fred Reifsteck joined the staff at the health center in December 2003. From 1990-2001, he practiced at Kaiser Permanente in Jonesboro, Georgia. Ms. Kimberly Brown-Clark joined the Health Center in 2001. Dr. Chad Palmer joined the health center staff in April 2014. He completed a family medicine residency at the University of Tennessee-Chattanooga in 2008 and a sports medicine fellowship at the University of Washington in 2009. Dr. Palmer served as team physician for a number of colleges and high schools beginning July 2005, as well as for the Atlanta Falcons. He has practiced family medicine since 2009 and has been active in a number of community youth groups since 2001. Dr. Palmer also has special expertise and 14 years of experience working with diabetes.

Mr. Len DeRamus joined the health center staff in 2013. Mr. DeRamus has more than 20 years of experience in family medicine as well as experience in pulmonary, allergy and internal medicine. He is on the clinical faculty for the Medical College of Georgia PA Program and is an adjunct faculty member for the EMS Programs at Athens Technical College. He is certified in ACLS, BCLS, PALS as Training Center Faculty, Advanced Burn Life Support (ABLS), Advanced Stroke Life Support (ASLS), and is a former paramedic. Dr. Aimee Martin joined the health center staff in 2008. Liz Prince joined the University Health Center in 2012 as the Associate Director of Health Promotion and the John Fontaine, Jr. Center for Alcohol Awareness and Education. Prior to coming to UGA, she was part of the Student Affairs teams at Duke University, University of Connecticut, University of Michigan and The University of Maryland Baltimore County. Martha Davis is associate director of patient services at the health center and first joined the staff in 1988. She earned her BS in nursing from Metropolitan State College and her MBA at the University of Georgia with specialization in corporate finance and risk management. Her past medical experience includes critical care nursing with specialty in neurotrauma and emergency care, rehabilitation, cost management consulting and ambulatory care administration.
Charles T. (Ted) Barco joined the Office of the Dean of Students from the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI) in Washington, DC. In his previous position, he led the Integrating the Intelligence Community(IIC) Course, an ODNI initiative focused on the professional development of community-wide intelligence officers. Prior to that service, Barco served as the associate provost of the National Geospatial-Intelligence College. He is a retired USAF Lt Col.
While on active duty, Barco held positions with the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Policy, the Joint Staff, two combat support agencies, Air University and a variety of Department of Defense schools and colleges. He is a former lead examiner for the President's Quality Award Program and a visiting site examiner for the Council on Occupational Education.
Barco holds an Ed.S. in higher education administration from The George Washington University and masters degrees from Teachers College, Columbia University in New York and the University of Alabama. He is married to Diane Arnold, also a retired USAF Lt Col, who is currently enrolled at UGA as a student veteran.
Dianne Foster joined the UTS staff as a Psychometric Assistant in 2002. Dianne provides the office with a wide variety of services. She is also a qualified Test Center Administrator for the Prometric Testing Center. Dianne supplies test information and schedules appointments for clients. She proctors a range of exams including placement exams, the Grady Written Statement of Interest, the Institutional SAT, and the Georgia and US Constitution exams. Dianne is actively pursuing an undergraduate degree in Business Administration.
Lisa Fields joined the UTS staff as a Psychometric Assistant 2007. In 2012, Lisa was promoted to Student Affairs Specialist I. She was again promoted to Coordinator, Testing Services in 2014. As Coordinator of Testing Services, Lisa ensures an efficient and professional testing environment for test-takers is maintained. She oversees a wide variety of computer and paper-based exams for students of the University of Georgia and members of the community. Lisa coordinates testing for freshmen orientation and oversees the Institutional SAT. She supervises full-time and part-time proctors.
Ray Burg joined the UTS staff as a Psychometric Assistant in 2012. Ray’s position was reclassified to Student Affairs Specialist I in 2015. As a certified Test Center Administrator (TCA), Ray proctors a variety of tests for the Prometric Testing Center as well as ensuring that a welcoming and distraction free testing facility is maintained. In addition, Ray oversees the scheduling and administration of the Residual ACT test. Prior to joining UTS, Ray served as an Educational Program Specialist at the Disability Resource Center.
Devin Arnold became the IT Professional Specialist for University Testing Services in July 2015. Devin joined the UTS staff as an Assistant IT Professional in 2012. Currently, Devin is the Supervisor of Testing Services for the Prometric Testing Center and in that capacity is the test center manager. The Prometric Testing Center offers a wide variety of certification and licensure exams in addition to the GRE, TOEFL, PRAXIS I, CPA and MCAT. He provides testing and IT support for staff and students to ensure customers have the best testing experience possible. Devin also proctors placement and computer based testing. Prior to joining UTS, Devin served in the Disability Resource Center providing IT support for students and staff. Devin earned his Associate of Science degree in Network Specialist from Athens Technical College.
Carol Alexander joined the UTS staff as a Data Collections Specialist in 2004. Carol's position was reclassified to Student Affairs Specialist II in 2015. Carol coordinates a variety of services for the University of Georgia including test scoring and staff evaluation reports. Carol also assists in administering mass exams including placement, US History and Constitution exams. Carol assists the Testing Coordinator with managing faculty services, and serves as the testing liaison to the Office of Online Learning to support their testing needs. Carol maintains placement exam scores for incoming students and the Institutional SAT scores. She works closely with the Registrar’s Office and advisors from colleges at the University providing placement and graduation requirement scores for UGA students.
Chrisy Mramor provides administrative support for staff members in the Office of Student Conduct, as well as the members of the University Judiciary. Her primary responsibilities include handling office correspondence, maintaining conduct case records, and responding to Dean’s Certification requests. Chrisy is also responsible for hiring, training and supervising student employees. She has been with the Office of Student Conduct since August 2011.
Emmie Bennett serves as the Senior Coordinator for Student Conduct. She is responsible for resolving alleged violations of the UGA Student Code of Conduct and coordinating formal hearings. In addition, she directly advises the University Judiciary, a student organization that facilitates the formal hearing process and provides outreach and education for students on campus.
A two-time graduate of UGA, Emmie received her A.B.J. from the Grady College of Journalism and earned her M.A. from the School of Public and International Affairs. Prior to joining the Office of Student Conduct, Emmie worked for UGA’s Department of Recreational Sports. . She is currently pursuing a doctorate in College Student Affairs Administration through UGA’s College of Education.
Barrett Malone serves as Director for the Office of Student Conduct and is responsible for planning, implementation, evaluation and oversight of the University’s student conduct system. The Office of Student Conduct receives all complaints regarding possible infractions of conduct regulations; schedules all University judicial hearings; coordinates and monitors all appeals; maintains student disciplinary records; and recruits, trains, and advises the University Judiciary.
A two-time graduate of UGA, Barrett received his B.B.A. from the Terry College of Business and earned his J.D. from The University of Georgia School of Law. Prior to assuming his current role, Barrett worked in the sports communications office of the University of Georgia Athletic Association, and after graduating from law school, entered the private practice of law for several years before returning to his alma mater.
Mrs. Sandra is a native Athenian. She joined the office in 2004 after retiring with thirty years of service in the business industry. During retirement, she returned to school to study Marketing and Management which set her on a new career path in Student Affairs. She enjoys listening to and working with students and has a passion for planning events.

Katie Wilson joined the DRC’s staff as a Sign Language Interpreter in 2011. Katie works with students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing in a variety of situations including the classroom. She has experience interpreting in K-12 schools and postsecondary settings. Before joining the DRC, Katie earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of Alabama and an Associate’s degree in Sign Language Interpreting from Front Range Community College. She also holds a National Interpreter Certification and an Educational Interpreter Performance Assessment Certification.
Trisha began her work in the Disability Resource Center as an Alternative Media Production Assistant in 2012. In 2013, she accepted the role of Accommodated Testing Coordinator. Trisha took on the role of Assistant Director in September 2018. She continues to supervise accommodated testing and have a small caseload of students, and she now supervises alternative text production.
Before joining the DRC, Trisha earned a Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education with an emphasis in English and History from Central Michigan University. She completed a Master’s degree from UGA’s Institute of Higher Education in May 2018 and is very interested in pursuing research related to disability and higher education.
Roman Surveyor joined the DRC’s staff as an Assistive Technology Lab Technician in 2010. He was promoted to his current position as a C-Print (real-time notetaking) and Captioning Specialist. Roman provides C-Print Captioning to students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing in their daily classes. He also assists the DRC’s Alternative Media Center with transcription and closed captioning services.
Molli Goggin joined the DRC’s staff as a Coordinator Assistant in 2012. She was promoted to her current position as a Senior Coordinator in 2013. Molli manages a caseload of students and coordinates leadership programs within the DRC. Specifically, Molli oversees the DRC’s Speakers Bureau, Transition Alliance, and annual scholarship reception. Before joining the DRC, Molli earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Family and Consumer Sciences with a Business concentration from Samford University. Prior to her career at UGA, Molli worked as a project coordinator in higher education and as a substitute teacher.
Eileen Moore joined the DRC’s staff as an Administrative Assistant in 2001. Currently, Eileen serves as an Administrative Associate and oversees the hiring process and payroll for all part-time staff. She also coordinates notetaker sign-up and payment, handles purchasing and payment processing, assists with monitoring departmental accounts, and prepares budget reports. Additionally, Eileen processes deposits and payments, including scholarships, through the DRC’s Foundation accounts.
Yvette Leverett joined the UTS staff as Coordinator of University Testing Services in 2008. She was promoted to Director of University Testing Services in 2018.
In her role as the Associate Director, she is responsible for the daily activities of University Testing Services. Prior to joining UTS, she worked as a Program Director for Boley Centers, Inc. in St. Petersburg, FL. Yvette's experience in the field of management and mental health services plays an important part in her ability to effectively network with the UGA campus and community.
Before joining UTS, Yvette earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from the University of South Florida, Tampa, and a Master of Arts degree in Sociology from Atlanta University.
Austin Kovarik joined the DRC’s staff as a Support Technician for the Assistive Technology Lab in 2008. He quickly transitioned to an IT Leadership position in University Testing Services. Austin then rejoined the DRC as Information Technology Manager in 2011. In his current position, Austin oversees all technology in the DRC including network connectivity, data security, staff workstations, student loaner equipment, and the Assistive Technology Lab and its staff. He has in-depth experience with information systems. Prior to his career at UGA, Austin worked for Turner Broadcasting in Atlanta, one of the largest media companies in the world.
Sarah Kesler joined the DRC’s staff as the Assistant to the Director in 2008. Currently, Sarah serves as the Administrative Manager for the DRC and University Testing Services. She assists the Director of the DRC with the administration of programs and services, manages various budgets within the DRC and UTS, and functions as the DRC’s Office Manager. Before joining the DRC, Sarah earned an Associate’s degree in Accounting from Athens Technical College and worked in UGA’s Accounts Payable Department. Prior to her career at UGA, Sarah worked in private accounting.
Kevin Karneboge joined the DRC’s staff as a Sign Language Interpreter in 1994 and was later promoted to his current position of Senior Coordinator of Interpreter Services. Kevin supervises sign language interpreting and captioning for the classroom including instructional media. He interprets in secondary and post-secondary educational settings. He often interprets in classrooms and at campus events. Kevin is recognized as a state-level interpreter and transliterator by the Georgia Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf.
Leigh Jagor joined the DRC’s staff as an Assistive Technology Lab Assistant in 1996. She was promoted to Assistant to the Assistant Director of the DRC, promoted again to a Coordinator, and promoted once more to her current position as Coordinator of Architectural Access. Leigh ensures architectural accessibility across campus, facilitating the reassigning of classroom locations and furniture placement for students who have mobility impairments. She specializes in working with students who have visual impairments or brain injuries. Before joining the DRC, Leigh earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Horticulture from UGA.
Amanda Hales joined the DRC’s staff as an Administrative Assistant in 2008. She was promoted to a Coordinator in 2014. Currently, Amanda manages a caseload of students and serves as the DRC Scholarship Liaison. As the DRC Scholarship Liaison, Amanda helps plan the annual scholarship reception, disseminates information about DRC scholarships, and assists students with applying for the DRC’s scholarships.
Tim Carr joined the DRC’s staff as a Coordinator Assistant in 2008. He was promoted to Accommodated Testing Coordinator in 2010 and promoted again in 2014 to Assistant Director of the DRC. In his role as the Assistant Director, Tim supervises four Coordinators and manages a caseload of students. He also oversees the student intake process and organizes the outreach and education efforts of the DRC. Before joining the DRC, Tim earned a Bachelor of Art degree in Art History from Southern Illinois University. He then earned a Master of Education degree in Human Resource and Organizational Development from UGA. Currently, Tim is pursuing a Ph.D. in Organizational Development at UGA. Prior to his career at UGA, Tim worked as a case manager for Georgia Options where he acquired significant knowledge about developmental disabilities.
Brent Bowser joined the DRC’s staff as an Assistive Technology Assistant in 2011. He was promoted to an Assistive Technology Lab Technician in 2013. Brent offers technical guidance to students in the AT lab as well as to his coworkers in the DRC. He maintains databases and critical computer systems for the DRC. Brent has experience with a variety of information systems.
Peter Bertot, Jr. joined the DRC’s staff as a Coordinator in 2004 and was promoted to a Senior Coordinator in 2015. Peter has a varied caseload and serves as the Coordinator of Intake. He has more than 25 years of experience working with college students who have learning disabilities. One of his areas of expertise is psychological distress patterns of students with LD and ADHD. He also has extensive experience with LD documentation and evaluations. Before joining the DRC, Peter earned many degrees including a Bachelor of Arts degree in Speech Communication, a Master’s degree in Community Counseling, a Master’s degree in Church Administration, a Ph.D. in Church Administration, and a Ph.D. in Special Education.
Carolyn Arnold joined the DRC’s staff as a Coordinator in 2000 and was promoted to a Senior Coordinator in 2013. Carolyn specializes in working with students diagnosed with ADHD, LD, psychological disabilities, and Autism Spectrum Disorder. Before joining the DRC, Carolyn earned a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Social Work from UGA. She is also a Licensed Master Social Worker.
James Addison joined the DRC’s staff as an Assistive Technology Assistant in 2008 and was promoted to a Lab Technician in 2013. James helps students in the Assistive Technology Lab learn about the hardware and software available to them. He collaborates with other campus computer labs to install and update assistive technology programs. Additionally, James offers desktop trouble-shooting and software updates to the DRC staff. Before joining the DRC, James earned a Networking Specialist degree from Athens Technical College that focused on Windows servers, web design, JAVA, and network security. Prior to his career at UGA, James worked as an LPN.
Kara leads the department of Student Affairs Learning and Strategic Initiatives, serves on the leadership team for the Division of Student Affairs and reports directly to the Assistant to the Vice President for Student Affairs. She is responsible for overseeing initiatives to improve organizational effectiveness of the Division of Student Affairs, including management of strategic planning and reporting processes, coordination of data activities, implementation of the division’s student learning framework, and administration of division-wide staff development activities.
Kara completed both her B.S. and M.Ed. degrees at the University of Minnesota, and earned a Ph.D. in College Student Affairs Administration from the University of Georgia. She began her career in student affairs at the University of Minnesota. She has worked in UGA Student Affairs since 2009.
As the director of international student life, Justin leads a team of dedicated professionals who work to internationalize the UGA student experience by providing opportunities that allow for students, staff, and faculty to develop intercultural competencies, while also providing programs and services that support UGA’s 2,700+ international students. Justin started his career abroad in Doha, Qatar and has visited more than 25 countries. It is from these personal and professional experiences that he believes deeply in the transformative power of international travel and intercultural exchange.
Prior to his arrival at UGA in 2014, Justin served as the assistant director of student activities at Georgia Southern University where he coordinated campus-wide programming, student organization development, and spirit/tradition activities. Over the past 10 years of his career in higher education, Justin has worked both domestically and internationally at a variety of institutional types, including public and private colleges, in various functional areas such as residence life, student union programming, and student leadership and service initiatives.
Justin’s professional involvement includes volunteer appointments on NASPA’s Region III board where he has served as a NASPA Foundation ambassador and, most recently, as the state director for Georgia. He also serves as an adjunct instructor in the College of Education's Department of Counseling & Human Development Services, teaching a section of ECHD 4000 - Global Perspectives in Culture each semester.
Justin holds a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and a Master of Education with a specialization in higher education administration, both from Kent State University. He is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in higher education from UGA's Institute of Higher Education. He and his wife, Lindsay, live in Athens with their son, Emmet.
As the Director of the Center for Leadership and Service, Jen provides leadership, vision, and strategic planning for major leadership, civic engagement, and new student initiatives, which create inclusive environments where students can deepen their leadership learning and practice active citizenship. Jen also serves as a member of the UGA Student Affairs Leadership Team and was instrumental in creating the Division’s Pillars of Student Success, serving as Co-Chair for the implementation committee. Jen brings many talents and skills to her role including group facilitation, establishing community partnerships, large event planning, work-life integration, mid-level management, budget management, fundraising and development, consulting, and is a certified Strengths Quest facilitator.
Jen earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Appalachian State University and her Master’s degree in College Student Personnel from Miami University in Oxford, OH. She is also currently working on her PhD in the College Student Affairs Administration program at UGA. Prior to UGA, Jen served in a variety of positions over the course of seven years at Longwood University. Much of her work at Longwood included developing student leadership programs, coordinating community service projects, hosting volunteer and non-profit information fairs, and coordinating the annual student leadership conference. Additionally, she worked to establish Service-Learning initiatives and served as an instructor for a first-year seminar course as well as a course supporting second year student leaders.
Jen’s professional interests includes leadership development, community outreach, cultivation of sustainable partnerships, assessment and evaluation, supervision, staff development, work-life balance/integration, social justice and student activism. In her work with the Center for Leadership and Service, Jen believes that leadership and service are interconnected and is committed to connecting students to meaningful experiences that will help them develop their leadership potential and encourage them to become actively engaged in their communities. In her free time, she enjoys being out and about in Athens with her family exploring all that the community has to offer.
Student Affairs is comprised of 18 departments that provide incredible programs, services and scholarships to our diverse student population. Many of our initiatives are made possible by the generous gifts from alumni, foundations and friends of the university. As the director of development, I serve as the chief fundraising officer for the vice president and our department directors and colleagues, and I partner with them to ensure their priorities are financially solvent through private and annual giving.
I graduated from the university in 1999 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science and History, and I proudly proclaim myself a product of the programs and services supported by Student Affairs. Without them, I would not have been prepared to achieve post-graduate success. I am honored and tremendously excited to be back at my beloved Alma Mater, and look forward to establishing many new relationships with folks who share my enthusiasm and appreciation for Student Affairs!
Jennifer works in Learning and Strategic Initiatives providing administrative support for the director and the office as a whole. She handles the departmental email and schedules meetings with and for assessment staff, all while making a mean pot of coffee. She also assists in planning staff development events for her department and for the Division.
Jennifer received a Bachelor of Arts in Classical Culture with a concentration in Classical Archaeology from the University of Georgia in 2007. She worked for UGA's Campus Transit for seven years during and after college, before starting work with Student Affairs in February 2012. Outside of the office, she volunteers as the Operations Manager for UGA Hockey, and likes to spend her free time with her husband, friends, and cats.
As the Associate Vice President for Finance and Risk Management, I work closely with the Vice President and serve as a member of the leadership team for the Division. I am the chief fiscal officer and risk advisor for the Division of Student Affairs. My stewardship responsibilities include fiscal and compliance matters, including financial accounting and reporting; HR/personnel actions; EO compliance; payroll; financial management systems; and fund management (state appropriated, auxiliary operations, student activity fee accounts and UGA Foundation funds). Additionally, I serve on several campus-wide committees: Student Technology Fee Committee, All- Campus Student Fee Allocations, and Major Repair and Rehabilitation (MRR). I also serve as the Division’s Return to Work Coordinator.
I received a B.S. and a M.S. in Accounting from Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. After working as a C.P.A. in Atlanta for two years, I attended The University of Georgia School of Law, where I received my Juris Doctor. Prior to working in the OVPSA, I worked as a law clerk for a federal district judge in Chattanooga, Tennessee and as an Assistant Director for Legal Affairs in the UGA Office of Legal Affairs.
As the web developer principal for the Office of the Vice President for Student Affairs, Wes oversees the design, production, implementation and maintenance of Student Affairs’ online initiatives. He is responsible for the visual design and branding of the Student Affairs web presence, as well as working with other Student Affairs web and design professionals to support online initiatives throughout the division.
Previously, Wes worked for the UGA Division of Development and Alumni Relations designing, building and maintaining the online presence of multiple departments, including the UGA Alumni Association, the UGA Foundation, the UGA online giving and event registration system (GAIL), the UGA Parents & Families Association and the Office of Development and Donor Relations
Wes began his career at UGA in the Division of Student Affairs and is happy to once again be a part of enriching the lives of our students while they build the foundation of knowledge that will lead to success after graduation from this great institution.
Wes holds a Bachelor’s degree in Studio Art from the University of Georgia and a Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design from Portland State University in Portland, Oregon. He and his wife, Tracey, live in Athens with their daughters, Elsie, Violet and Ada. Wes has been a member of the Student Affairs team since April 2014.
Eric Atkinson serves as Associate Vice President for Student Affairs at the University of Georgia. He is responsible for overseeing the departments of Student Affairs Communications and Marketing Initiatives, Greek Life, Recreational Sports, and Student Conduct. He is also a member of the University’s Behavioral Assessment and Response Council (BARC) and co-teaches a First Year Odyssey (FYO) seminar with President Morehead.
Eric received his undergraduate degree from Troy State University in Alabama and earned M.Ed. and Ph.D. degrees from the University of Georgia. He has worked in UGA’s Division of Student Affairs since 1999.
