    De-Stress with Fitness!

    Recreational Sports is offering FREE access to virtual fitness classes from November 30 to December 18. Go from distressed to de-stressed with this limited-time, free fitness resource. Fitness on-demand classes are open to the entire UGA community by following these easy steps:

    Health & Well-being Kickstarter Mini-Course

    Join Health Promotion and Fitness & Wellness for this free two week mini-course that prepares you for better self care. In the two week period, we’ll discuss basic nutrition, sleep, physical activity, and social connection as a means to better health & well-being. You’ll learn how to incorporate habits into your daily life and be challenged to record your progress to ensure you are on your way to lasting behavior change that will truly make a difference! Each mini-course session will be led via Zoom. Link will be provided via email following registration.

    Join Rec Sports for a virtual fitness experience. Try three of the most popular group fitness classes (Hip Hop/Athletic Conditioning/Yogalates) virtually for 15 minutes each.

    Top Dawg Leaderboard

    Challenge your strength and earn your spot on the leaderboard! Join Rec Sports for a monthly, drop-in leaderboard event in the Functional Training Room (Studio C). Events include 1 RM Bench, Dip Max, Plank for Time, Vertical Jump, 40 YD Dash, Standing Long Jump, Pull Up Max. No pre-registration required.

    NASM Personal Trainer Prep Course

    Recreational Sports offers you the opportunity to become a certified Personal Trainer through the the NCCA accredited National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM). The course is 12 weeks long and will prepare participants for the NASM Personal Trainer certification exam. No experience necessary.

    Note: This course is not for academic credit. Each course requires a substantial time commitment both inside and outside of class.

    This is a certification program offered through the National Academy of Sports Medicine. Registration required. Zoom link will be sent via email following registration.
