    International Education Week

    UGA’s International Education Week 2019 is scheduled for November 18-22, 2019. In an effort to provide programs and services that prepare UGA students for a global society, ISL plans a week-long schedule of events that introduce important international education and intercultural learning opportunities on campus. Further, the IEW schedule includes opportunities to celebrate the diversity and contributions of our international campus community.

    Taiwo Akinyemi, a graduate student from Nigeria studying Microbiology in Franklin College of Arts and Sciences, will lead the next Discussions without Borders series at the University of Georgia, presenting on personal perspectives about his experience and knowledge of Nigeria’s education system as well as introducing interesting questions that fuel his curiosity for the future.

    Global Dawgs Workshop

    Global Dawgs is a training workshop for UGA faculty and staff to explore and develop intercultural competency and communication skills. It also allows for participants to learn more about international students at the University and learn best practices to support international students on campus. Participants will learn effective intercultural communication skills and develop a toolkit of resources to best support international students and develop an intercultural perspective. Pre-registration is required.
