Join Health Promotion at the University Health Center for a book club discussing The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks by Rebecca Skloot.
This award-winning book explores the true story of Henrietta Lacks, a black woman whose cells, taken without her knowledge in the 1950s, revolutionized modern medicine. Together, we will explore themes like racism, ethics, and access in medicine and public health.
The first 20 UGA students who register for the first session will receive a FREE copy of the book!
The book’s three parts will be divided across three sessions. Students are highly encouraged to attend all three. Register for EACH session on the Involvement Network using the links below:
