CAPS (Counseling and Psychiatric Services at the University Health Center) presents this six-week wellness and prevention workshop focused on managing the social and emotional aspects of being Black at UGA.

Two CAPS therapists will explore culturally distressing themes that impact African-American Students’ academic success. In addition, each week will be co-sponsored by a student organization. (The workshop is loosely inspired by the hit HBO series, “Insecure.”)

March 20: Burn-out (Brown SUGA)

April 3: Micro-aggressions and National Turmoil (Black Male Leadership Society)

April 10: Relationships (Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. & Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc.)

April 17: Juggling Success (Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.)
