Victor K. Wilson, Vice President For Student Affairs

Five Years of Excellence

Five years ago when I returned to UGA, I challenged Student Affairs to dare greatly—in creating the best possible experience for UGA students and becoming the most outstanding student affairs division in the world.

Our results together so far have exceeded my greatest expectations. In reviewing the accomplishments of Student Affairs included here, we have so much to celebrate. Through our 18 departments, 600 full- and part-time staff, and more than 1,000 student employees, Student Affairs has an indelible daily impact on the student experience at UGA. In countless ways, we inspire students to engage meaningfully, grow intellectually, and build character so they will create thriving communities, and I am deeply proud of our efforts.

As we look to the future, I renew my challenge to us all: keep daring greatly. Create stronger, more equitable communities. Challenge students to become lifelong learners. Find ways to promote health and well-being. Be active partners. Prepare students to lead and serve and change our world.

It has been an amazing five years #forthestudents. As always, thanks for all that you do.

Dare on, my friends.
