OVPSA Description

The Office of the Vice President for Student Affairs coordinates and facilitates programs and services designed to enhance the overall quality of student life, establish a sense of community, and enable all students to realize their fullest potential. These initiatives contribute to students' total development and to their physical, occupational, social, environmental, spiritual, and emotional growth.

• Provide administration, coordination, and budgetary supervision for all Student Affairs departments
• Facilitate collaboration between Student Affairs and Academic Affairs to enhance students' academic, physical, and social well-being
• Develop programs that offer students learning opportunities outside the classroom and services that enhance their ability to be successful
• Coordinate professional development opportunities for Student Affairs personnel
• Administer Student Affairs private funding initiatives
• Coordinate Student Affairs planning processes and assessment initiatives that promote success and organizational effectiveness
• Direct and support research on various aspects of the undergraduate experience
• Coordinate student crisis management
• Serve as liaisons for the Campus Ministry Association
• Provide advisement for the Golden Key International Honour Society
