UGA Gwinnett Campus Philanthropic Activities Policy
“Activities” include any solicitation for goods or funds for charitable objectives, such as but not limited to donations, drives, posters, etc.
All activities must be approved by the Director of Student Affairs (DSA) at the Gwinnett Campus who has sole authorization to approve or disapprove of any activity.
All activities must be available to the general public and not restricted to any group or class.
All activities must take place within designated official UGA Gwinnett Campus space and be sponsored by someone with an official UGA affiliation (student, staff, faculty)
All publicity materials associated with the activity – posters, fliers, donation boxes, etc. – must be in compliance with the UGA Logo Policy and congruent with university standards and approved by DSA at the Gwinnett Campus.
Requests to hold philanthropic activities on campus should be communicated to the DSA via email (sagwin@uga.edu) or in writing at least two business days in advance of the beginning of the activity and should include the following:
- Contact name, phone number, email and UGA affiliation
- Description of activity, including sponsoring group, intended audience, what is to be collected, and duration of activity
