The Department of Student Affairs Assessment is pleased to consult with individuals in the Division of Student Affairs on assessment related projects. DSAA’s approach to consulting is to educate and empower our clients. We will offer guidance, feedback, and technical assistance; this will equip you with the necessary skills to design and implement your project. To get started, please follow the five steps below.

Step 1: Please review the Consultation Guidelines and Expectations (pdf).

Step 2: Contact our office to set up an intake meeting.

Step 3: Acquire materials listed in the “what to bring” section of Consultation Guidelines and Expectations.

Step 4: Determine a timeframe and deadline for your project.
- Step 5: Finalize other details during intake meeting.
DSAA has information related to demographics, contact information, academic performance, term information, academic details, and pre-enrollment information. We can provide data to Student Affairs Units for legitimate educational purposes. Please note the following:
- The Department of Student Affairs Assessment requires a minimum of seven business days to complete data requests.
- Students who have placed restrictions on their personal information will not be included in your report.
- To match a list of student names to their information, we need at least one of the following: birth date or their 810 number.
- Updated data for each semester is available approximately three weeks after the beginning of the semester. DSAA will confirm with you that the data your request is available for the semester you are seeking. We cannot, for example, provide you with currently enrolled data for the spring 2009 semester in December 2008. The data we provide for you three weeks into the spring semester will reflect the demographics of students enrolled for spring semester, but their grades will be current as of the completion of fall 2008 semester.
- Please talk with others in your department and consolidate your data requests as much as possible.
